Hi guys
How do I pushback the ATR72 using GSX ? I have got everything prepared with ENG2 running but GSX won’t let me start the push with the engines running.
Do I need to be in hotel mode and the release the prop brake once the push is complete ?I had a gpu available so just started from that.

Make sure you are running the latest version of GSX. There was an update that allows you to push with the engine running.

Yes latest gsx, and engine 2 in prop brake/hotel mode only until after pin inserted then you should get the “start engines at will” message for pushback. Gsx shouldn’t see the engine as started if hotel mode is engaged.
The need to remove ground power ahead of pushback requires power from hotel mode before engines can be started.
Hotel mode/prop brake for Eng 2 can be cancelled at any time after the start engines at will message.
…which is a tick box in the aircraft config.
Tick that box, then when GSX asks if you want to start an engine you can start no 2 in hotel mode.
If the box is checked, as long as the chocks are in place you should be able to start no2 in hotel mode too.
