The last few days I’ve flow about 6 flights using the ATR 72-600. Both Highline and regular version. During 3 of those flight the cockpit no longer provided any feedback from input devices or switch clicks or settings. Neither devices nor mouse/keyboard input helped. It’s like the cockpit just stopped taking any input at all and nothing was updated after the clicks. As an example I turned off the power switch and nothing happened. I was using FS2Crew and told the FO to turn off the auto pilot. He ack but the AP made no visual updates. This happened both VR and 2D. I also couldn’t make any adjustments to the throttle quad. Neither the prop or CL could be moved with mouse of keyboard.
Has this happened to anyone else? Seems to happen a lot with me. At one point The aircraft wasn’t moving but the airspeed showed increasing. Then the aircraft when straight up in the air. Very strange.

Should also mention that this usually happens during a flight. There was one instance where it happened when I first got into the pit. Nothing would work. Even the pad wouldn’t take input and couldn’t add payload, flight plan, etc…

The same happend to me today, my second flight with the updated ATR. Non of my flight before the update had this issue.
I also noticed that the overhead panel stayed responsive. I could also hear the sound of the engines spinning back and forth while moving the throttles on my joystick while you cant see it ingame as everyting underneath the windows seems frozen. Also the overspeed sound didnt play.
But you can hear the flaps and gear when you trigger them trough the joystick. As you cant trigger them trough the vc as its frozen.
Im gonna try reinstall the airplane hoping it might fix it.
I just tried half a dozen flights, and the ATR froze each flight. Never in the same place, but froze, nonetheless. The worst was on final to KPDX. And just now at cruise altitude.
The ATR is broke and unusable. What a bummer.
Did reinstall fix it?
I have the same problem and it drives me nuts.
All of a sudden no buttons work.
Unfortunately. Just deleted and reinstalled. All of the sudden all is frozen.
And was thinking that they finally made it a nice flying plane…
Removing it from msfs and reinstall it seems to fixed it for me so far no freezes. Have done 3 flights after.
It still freezes for me even after the latest update. I did find a workaround. There’s a preference for using custom XML objects in settings somewhere. I can’t remember offhand. If I set that to no, then reenable it, the cockpit “unfreezes” and I can continue. I’ll get the settings when I get a chance.
Please find where these settings are. You know that freeze makes the whole simulation VERY frustrating as I am sure all will agree. 
Thank you very much, I looked but I can not apply the solution from A320 to ATR, I do not see this setting they say to turn off.
In the Simulator, Select OPTIONS at the top of the Welcome screen.
In there, select GENERAL OPTIONS.
Once in General Options, select EXPERIMENTAL from the left side menu.
In the center description, see USE NANO VG FOR XML GAUGES.
Ensure that setting is OFF

I turned it off, let’s see if that makes any difference.
Well, nothing I’ve tried stops this from happening or am I able to recover from it. If I set the NANOVG setting to off and it still happens. If I set that setting once it does happen it resets the cockpit regardless of which setting I select. So if I’m halfway to a destination and the cockpit resets it makes the flight unusable. I haven’t been able to make a flight in months. This is incredibly frustrating and disappointing.
Same here. It freezes in msfs 2020 as well as in msfs 2024.
I wish it was some kind of workaround…
On the top of it in msfs 2024 there is no options about the objects mentioned above.
That is so disappointing.
All of a sudden, boom, all freezes and no way to do anything.
Tried again today. FMS freezes in the middle of the programming… POS
Giving up on it until it is fixed but probably will not judging from experience.
So frustrating, spending half an hour programming just to get that thing unresponsive.
