I’ll check that out. It sounds like user error.

EDIT: User error, for sure, please close this thread!

Good day everyone
Hope are all doing well
I’m here today to get some help to sort some issues I’m facing with ATR 72-600.
I got ATR a week ago, it was all fine for like 3-4 days . This couple of days I’m facing issues with [AUX HYD]. During initial cold and dark start it works correctly by after sometime AUX HYD fails and this is shown in MFD as x mark. NOTE: I GET THIS ISSUE ROUGHLY 5-6MINS AFTER FROM THE TIME AIRCRAFT BEEN POWERED UP. I power up the aircraft and do all checks, flight plan etc mean time i do this AUX HYD fails and this not letting me to start HOTEL MODE.
Please refer below image to get what’s happening.

If/when the AUX hydraulic system bleeds down, you need to press the button on the pedestal to repressurize it. The pump will run for a limited time, which is a suitable length of time to engage the propeller lock.

Hi there thanks for your reply. Appreciated

I tried that. But, when I press AUX HYD PUMP(GROUND CONTROL).
I GET some thing weird in MFD in hydraulics page REFER (IMAGE :1) I attached below. And I also attached (IMAGE:2) this is how it should be look WHEN WE PRESS AUX PUMP GROUND CONTROL.
This only happening for past couple of days it was fine before.

Please find the image below

Image:2 below
Thanks

That image doesn’t look like what I see in either the 42 or the 62:

What is going on there? I don’t see that X nor do I see the rectangle below that also has an X. Do you have a mod or is there an alternate way to config the aircraft that results in the display looking that way?

If I hook up the ACW Ground Power and turn it on I immediately see this:

Is your issue occurring at C&D or during turn-around? These screenshots are from a C&D state with just the aircraft powered on and one or both GPUs connected and enabled.

Even if I reach up and turn off all three pumps I still don’t see an X:

Hey hey thanks again for your reply …much appreciated mate.

I bought this ATR 72-600 from MSFS store. And I didn even very download any liveries.
I’m using exactly how it was given from the store.

And I don’t connect with ACW***
I connect just with EXTERNAL ground power to power up from cold start, the initial cockpit preparation, then flight plan in FMC and the time I get this things done. I get that X mark on AUX pump as it is image I uploaded above.
The weirded part is this only happens after 5-6 mins after power up.
But, when I tried to make a quick start of hotel model then it works perfectly :joy:
Honestly I don’t know what’s wrong in it.

And do I need to Connect with ACW OR
BOTH EXTERNAL GROUND POWER and ACW?? During power up

Ah, so it looks “correct” when you first enter the cockpit? And you’re just on battery power with no GPU?

How long do I need to wait to see it display the Xs?

Are there any other steps I need to take to get them to appear?

Regarding the GPUs, you don’t need either of them. I hooked them up simply to see if I could force a display to look like what you have shown. A real-world ATR pilot who used to contribute to this forum said their airline never uses the ACW GPU, for what that is worth.

Are you PC or Xbox?

Also, I am not seeing pressure when I first power the aircraft up (after waiting for the displays to wake up). Are you seeing AUX pressure upon power up? I have to press the AUX button to see pressure.

Good day….
Step 1: First thing I do after entering the cockpit is SELECTING GROUND POWER option in iPad and also open cargo door, service door, main door and tail prop and then in the overhead panel I turn on Aircraft battery and nav light on and wait for 2 MFD screens to pop up and then I’ll keep system page in MFD(see image :1) to refer how it looks initially.

Step 2: I’ll switch on EXT POWER from overhead panel and wait for PFDs and EWD to pop up.
Once all the screens are ready.
I’ll press AUX PUMP ground switch from pedestal the engage PROP BREAK on and cage it. This almost take around 5 mins and 53 seconds(today I kept timer to say the exact time )so, you can have a look at yours too.

And I’m PC user

After this time I see this page(which say X mark) see image 2

Even after connecting with ACW power (see image 3)…this is how it looks like.
When I see that x marks in hydraulic system page in MFD. I couldn’t turn on Hotel mode. When I engage starter the (NH%) remains zero. Nothing rises it in .

I followed your steps to the letter and this is what I still see on the MFD:

I even did your method twice and it still didn’t do what you’re seeing.

EDIT:

Because I’m a crazy person, I also tested this on my laptop with just the base sim and only the ATR installed. I still see the same behavior as I do on my desktop PC.

Have you tried this will all your peripherals unplugged? Are you using any sort of custom control mapping software? Have you tried with just the sim and the ATR only?

Hii mate thanks for your information.

Its very weird why it’s happening only for me then.

Do you think AIRCRAFT LIVERIES changes any effects to system???

Because I got AIR NZ ATR LIVERIES

Or his there any possibilities, me uninstalling ATR and re installing it again.

And in this case I need to buy the AIRCARFT again?

I also wanted to say this to you.
See if this gives you some idea……

When I bought the ATR from msfs store….
For the first time when started using ATR,
After turning on AIRCRAFT battery the overhead panel looked like this(see IMAGE 1) if you see in HYD PWR SECTION
This is how it showed me
BLUE PUMP is OFF
AUX PUMP- OFF
X FEED- NO LIGHTS
GREEN PUMP- OFF
Basically when aircraft battery turned on (just aircraft battery on) the blue, aux, green pump switches were used to be in off position. This I saw only for 2-3 times during these times no problem at all

But after 2 days
I dont know whenever the aircraft battery turned on the blue, aux and green pump kept on by itself.

SEE IMAGE:2
It shows

BLUE PUMP- LOPR
AUX PUMP- NO LIGHTS
X FEED- NO LIGHTS
GREEN PUMP- LOPR

Only from this time I noticed…. All those X MARKS happens in MFD

Processing: IMG_2943.jpeg…

See image 2

Liveries are known to, possibly, have adverse effects on aircraft – especially as aircraft are updated. Speaking of which, you do have the latest version of the ATR? There isn’t a pending update for it in the Content Manager?

You could definitely give this a try, but I’d start with eliminating all Community folder content and re-trying.

You definitely do not need to do this, and I’m not even sure how you even could without involving help from Microsoft.

Hii there how are you…
Thanks for our reply

ATR are all updated in content manager.

Just now I, uninstalled and re installed it again and gone for a check.
unfortunately it didn make any changes at all. Still remains same.

I, just reported this issue msfs…lets see wait and see what can they do to sort this out.

Anyways i appreciate you for your help
