I made a small short action packed video with the ATR while inbound for LIEO, beautiful made airport with plenty of options to fly to nearby.

Nice video! I was a Crew Scheduler for American Eagle/Simmons 25 years ago or so. Flew on the 42/72 quite a bit. Look up flight 4184. Tragic night for everyone.

Yep. It was actually ATR’s fault for the de-icing boot. Orlando was an amazing pilot, and one of the nicest people. One of the original FA’s called in sick, so one of the schedulers begged another FA to do the flight. Needless to say the poor guy had a breakdown and transferred to OPS. There is no way to describe the silence, then the realization that we still had work to do, since we were dealing with off schedule operations at the time. A couple years later, I was a supervisor. I had to go through the microfiche of schedules to get all of the data for our lawyers. An experience that I wouldn’t wish on my worst enemy.
