ATR propeller brake logic

ISSUE DESCRIPTION

The propeller brake logic (READY light) seems to be correct for the most part. The conditions required for READY light are:

  • On ground
  • Right fire handle pushed in
  • Gust lock - ON
  • Right condition lever - FTR or FUEL S.O.
  • Hydraulic blue pressure above 2100 psi

With engine 2 not running, the READY light only comes on with the condition lever in FUEL SO. With the condition lever in FTR the READY light does not illuminate (incorrect). However, when the engine is running, the READY light does come on with condition lever in FTR (as it should).

Also, in real life, the READY light does not immediately illuminate upon blue pressure > 2100 psi. It takes around 10 to 15 seconds for it to illuminate.

FREQUENCY OF ISSUE

Always.

REPRODUCTION STEPS

With right engine shutdown, apply pressure to the blue hydraulic system. Move the right condition lever to FTR position, observe READY light goes out.

Now start the right engine and observe the READY light will illuminate with the right condition lever in FTR (as it should).
