ATR regression - Axis between Notch and Ramp is bugged with reverser [TCA]

 Thank you for using the Bug section, using templates provided will greatly help the team reproducing the issue and ease the process of fixing it.

Are you using Developer Mode or made changes in it?

No

Have you disabled/removed all your mods and addons?

N/A

Brief description of the issue:

ATR throttle calibration does not respect the calibration tolerances. Using Thrustmaster Airbus TCA with detents it’s impossible to control range between Notch and Ramp. Throttles immediately snap from Notch to Ramp even if the throttle value is NOT that high and user should be able to use the range in the middle. See image where value is not even close to Ramp, definitely outside of the set tolerance.

Sensitivity is linear in settings. No other issues with the throttles.

Dual axis and “Throttle hardware has reverser axis” are ENABLED - issue does not seem to happen without but then one can’t use reversers.

Provide Screenshot(s)/video(s) of the issue encountered:

Detailed steps to reproduce the issue encountered:

Calibrate Airbus throttle using ATR’s built-in calibration tool. Set Notch and Ramp to matching physical detents.

PC specs and/or peripheral set up if relevant:

Thrustmaster Airbus TCA throttle.

Build Version # when you first started experiencing this issue:

1.32.7.0, ATR 1.0.8

The same occurs with me since the AtR update from yesterday .

No way to use throttle calibration with TCA thurstmaster pack.

Imposible to finish a fly with ATR since then.
No problem at taxiing or even in cold and dark … but when itis airbone… the Throttle dont works to godown to idle position … only with mouse but not smoth at all … from maximum to idle but not work in range of movement …with mouse its like an on- off ( “toga” - idle) . WITH TCA no movement at all.

No way to fly :frowning::pensive::pensive::pensive::pensive::pensive::pensive::pensive:

when ATR is airbone in climb mode, after take off, the TCA throttle get stucks in RAMP position and doesnt work anymore using the TCA thrustmaster .

this no had happened before the update ATR yesterday .

Please a patch urgent because ATR is no flyable.

I set the throttle settings back to default and it seems fine now.

No help. Default settings has 0-100% throttle axis which does not work at all so it has to be changed to just “axis”. Same problem. Please share more information if you have a solution.

Don’t use the reverse thrust portion on the joystick, and make sure it is set to single axis.

Have the same issue as OP using the TCA. Worked fine in the previous build. Since the last update, once you change from takeoff to climb mode, the axes do not respond, and it stays stuck on RAMP. The only way I get it to Notch, is to use the mouse to click on the throttles in the VC and then move my TCA throttles to the NOTCH position and then it will follow. Any minor adjustment I have to repeat the steps of clicking the throttles in the VC and quickly moving the physical TCA throttle to the desired position. However, on approach when the engine mode is set to TO, the throttles become responsive again. This bug seems to only affect the TCA when in CLIMB or CRUISE Engine modes for me. When in TO, it works per normal.

I am frustrated.

Regarding the TRustmaster AIRBUS TCA Quadrant Throttle ,it works perfect in Fenix or PMDG with its different configurations but ,after yesterday’s ATR 72 update from Asobo, there is no way to get it to work in flight , it is stuck.

I have deleted and installed the ATR again, but it is frustrating, prepare the whole flight, control all the parameters and when you want to intervene in the Throttle, it gets stuck and you can not land because you can not lower power or maintain it. It is frustrating and very frustrating

“Hold Reverse Thrust” works now instead of “Decrease Throttle”…

What it does not do is make the correct animations.

Please remember to vote the issue if you encounter it.

As a workaround (works for me at least) pull the Idle Gate below the TLs once airborn.

I just finished a flight and experienced this bug usıng the Thrustmaster TCA.

Provide extra information to complete the original description of the issue:

Once I set Power MGT back to TO I regained the ability to control thrust but the throttle levers were not moving within the aircraft.

If relevant, provide additional screenshots/video:

Also I’d like to add - this bug seemed to affect IAS. Aircraft would not climb above 185kts when Power MGT mode was in CLB or CRZ and airspeed target was 240kts.

Same issue after the latest update.

very slow movement of the throttle helps but eventually the the throttle may pull back on number two engine and throttle positions in the simulator do not match the physical setting of the TCA and at other times will not respond at all.
every thing was fine before update.

Getting in the ATR again I had the same thing happen, I did notice thought the Idle gate below the throttles would be pulled out on the ground and pushed in during flight. Pulling out the idle gate during flight and now the throttles move as normal. It seems the gate set to flight (flight idle) causes the TCA to lock up at RAMP. This would explain why everyone experiencing this issue has it occur after leaving the ground. For now, it seems the best solution is to pull the gate back out after takeoff until Asobo/Hans can find out why it’s doing this with only the TCA.
