ATR Toggle Reverse Thrust & Hold Throttle Reverse Thrust not Working

I don’t know the guy, but I’ve noticed these same bugs too. Hopefully, they’ll fix them soon?

Any known work-around or incoming fix? It’s been out for a week now, it’s hard to believe we still can’t use such a basic feature!

Map a button on the back of your TWCS to ‘decrease throttle’. When you idle back on landing, hold the button to engage the reversers.

Do you have the same issue if you follow the OP’s steps to reproduce it?

Provide extra information to complete the original description of the issue:

While the addition of Toggle Reverse Thrust is a welcome change in v. 1.0.8, the neglecting to add Hold Throttle Reverse Thrust makes utilizing the reverse levers on a peripheral such as the Boeing TCA throttle quadrant difficult.

There needs to be a modicum of standardization here for add-ons that are built and sold for MSFS. The basic keybindings need to all be able to be utilized. When I was in QA, I wouldn’t have allowed this to pass. I shouldn’t be here begging for this.

Please add the Hold Throttle Reverse Thrust functionality into the ATR.

If relevant, provide additional screenshots/video:

My Reversers doesnt work anymore since last Update.
Even when i press F2. Never used a Axis for it. In the Settings of the ATR i unchecked the"Axis with reverser…".

It worked, but stopped.

Anyone has an Idea?

I bound the Bottom Detent Button on the left side throttle of my controller (Turtle Beach FlightStick) to Toggle Reverse Thrust. To reverse, I just lower the throttle to idle, push down past the detent to engage the reverse thrust and push forward again on the throttle. To return to forward thrust, I repeat the same steps.

Do we have to assign a Button “Toggle Reverse” now?

F2 doesnt work anymore?

Thank You, I found finally found way to do reverse and even I can choose how strong it is, based on your post.

I am using Honeycomb Bravo. I have to set one detent button (in fact lower part of throttle axis on bravo, enough with one axis only) to “Toggle reverse thrust”. Handle below pedestal have to be set to GI (ground idle) during approach (this also helps to get real idle on descent). Then on touchdown I have to quickly drag throttle into detent posiution and immediately up again into positive axis. If I dont do it quickly, it does not work. Now I can regulate how strong reverse is, the same as normal thrust. No need to apply full reverse on 800-1000 m runways as it is very strong. Important to immediately “get out of reverse” because plane will roll back on tail just after stopping…

Yes. Are you using a throttle quadrant? Map a button on it to “toggle throttle reverse thrust”. When in idle hit the toggle button then you increase throttle to increase the reversers… idle and hit the toggle button to go back to normal.

No, i have a Sidewinder Precision Pro.

Has just a Slider.
Its not Possible to set it the Old way?

Was working on gamepad, mouse, and keyboard before the update. Plane will not reverse at all now.

I seem to have found a little fix for my Thrustmaster T-Flight HOTAS X (Which doesn’t have a reverse axis). Create a new controller profile and make sure you set your throttle extremity deadzone to 1%. Also make sure you have the “Toggle reverse thrust” button binded.
Then configure your throttle normally through the tablet on the plane (make sure the gust lock is OFF so the throttle can move freely). With this solution I was able to make the reversers work, the thing is, I’m not able to reach 100% throttle, but I’m okay with just hitting 99%. Let me know if this works for you.

What do you have ramp set at in the EFB? I have mine at around 7000+

With T16000M and TWCS, reverse thrust is working in Switch mode, not in Push mode (I put it on button 2 on the Throttle)

What do you mean by switch mode ?

I’m guessing the meaning is toggle vs. hold.

None of this is a fix. None of it. These are bandaids, duct tape, chicken wire. It was working fine before the 1.08 update. They broke it. They should fix it. For now, just don’t do short field landings and use the wheel brakes as according to the FCOM, they can be used from touchdown to below 40 knots.

It wasn’t working for me before the update. I have a Hotas One… and I can’t hold down a button to engage reversers when I am using the rockers on the throttle to keep the plane straight on the runway. Now since they’ve included the toggle, I only need to quickly press the button and go back to steering.

I got it to work in this manner. I use an X 52 pro hotas. I assigned a keyboard press to toggle reverse thrust, and program this to a button on the stick. Draw the throttle to idle and press the button, then move the throttle forward (counter intuitive) and the in sim throttle will now move into the reverse thrust area, draw the hotas throttle back and the sim throtlle moves out of reverse thrust, click the toggle again to return the throttle to normal function. This works for me, hopefull others find it a solution as well.
