Brief description of the issue:

When flying an RNAV approach and V-FP has been enabled it is not possible to select any other vertical mode anymore (e.g. VS). After a go-around it also stays and can’t be disabled. Essentially it is stuck at this mode.

Provide Screenshot(s)/video(s) of the issue encountered:
After pressing go-around and being on the missed approach, re-enabled AP and NAV but V-FP stays and pressing VS doesn’t do anything:

Detailed steps to reproduce the issue encountered:

Fly RNAV approach RNP X RWY 25L to EDDF, enable vnav at/after TOD, enable APP at TITUT.

PC specs and/or peripheral set up if relevant:

RTX4070, 7800x3d

I experienced it independently. After a go around autopilot was stuck in V-FP mode. Clicking any of the veritcal autopilot buttons did nothing.

And apparently this issue was not resolved in version 1.0.36. What a shame.

I have not tested it with the new version. It is a bit disappointing to hear that it is still the case, given that it had the feedback logged tag.

Yes, any RNAV approach will lock V-FP mode, can’t get visually rid of it. Other vertical modes still work but doesn’t show up.

feedback-logged don’t mean reproduced, it would need bug-logged status instead

That said, it’s a shame that it’s still not fixed

Yes

Even clicking on STBY button and recycling FD doesn’t clear V-FP mode.

Is this what happened to me here? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LVqKX7OHj5Q

I don’t think so.
I think your issue may be that you have “cpl” on the AP pointing to the Co-pilot position.

RIP, accidental click

It is really a shame. The bug is still here. If you fly rnav approach and you activate v-fp mode it cant be deactivated and you can use autopilot any more if you go around. Basically you have to abort the flight and exit sim.

Still not fixed in v1.0.46

V-FP mode cannot be deactivated.

This topic was not escalated to a bug though just ‘feedback logged’. It is still happening though.

Well, maybe. But my assumption is that only bug logged will be part of Hans work package. Question is, what is missing to move this to bug logged?

Yes

V-FP will still be displayed on the flight annunciator no matter what once it’s activated, even putting the autopilot in standby will not remove it

Yep

Provide extra information to complete the original description of the issue:

Same as everyone else, it cannot be disabled.
Tried everything, from powering down, new flight plan with TOD, nothing

Having said that as well, if you do not arm V-FP and hand fly the approach I’ve noticed that the VNAV path tape will always show now as well

Yes same issue

Provide extra information to complete the original description of the issue:

Also completing a landing in V-FP, even going to full shutdown, battery off, and then attempting to re-start will not result in the mode V-FP being removed.

If relevant, provide additional screenshots/video:

Not relevant. V-FP still in FMA
