Brief description of the issue:

ATR weather radar is very insensitive. It shows only very hard rain and light rain it doesn’t show at all. It’s as if the color palette has been set wrong to the API so only major rain is shown.

Pretty sure this is a sim limitation , the weather radar implementation in MSFS is not accurate by any stretch and does not actually simulate how a weather radar actually works.

For me in every single addon it is either never working or displaying totally incorrect data and is pretty much useless at avoiding weather.

It works better in other aircraft.

A310 live weather

A310 preset with 7-8 mm/h rain

ATR live weather

ATR rain preset with 7-8 mm/h rain

Even extreme rain barely shows up.

Edit: Extreme rain shows up when in air. Point still stands that the thresholds for the colors seem to be off and it takes major rain to show anything.

This bug warning deserves to prosper! In fact, I tested it here and the most that appears is a few insignificant lines when in heavy weather on the ATR weather radar, when artificially created in the simulator.
