No

Which aircraft are you reporting an issue about? (Please also add the proper tag for it)

ATR42/72

Brief description of the issue:

If by mistake i’m rotating the fire handle of the engine i’m not able to start the engines anymore.
I know that this is realistic but i thought that if I go to the maitanance menu in the EFB and reset the Bottle & Squib it should be possible to start the engines again. In this case only by restarting the flight im able to start the engines again. I didn’t try to use the pre-defined states to get to an engine start.

If this is not a bug please see this as a improvement !
Thx

Agreed, would be a good feature. Reason is because it’s very easy to accidentally click on fire discharge handle while trying to click fire warning test switch. Happened to me twice already, so I stopped doing fire warning test to avoid it. Very inconvenient when you are doing a Vatsim flight, got clearance and suddenly need to restart and do everything over. Should be able to reset it on the ground (but not in flight).

Hi, i agree too. It’s very easy to miss click and hit the Fire Handle while testing the engine fire systems.

A reset feature is a good idea but definitely, Fire Handle safety lock seems to be missing.

For example, the A310 have a similar Fire Handles but with a functional safety lock:

In addition i’ve observed something weird: When the Fire Handle 1 is pulled, DC GEN 2 doesn’t work anymore even if the Fire Handle 2 isn’t pulled. (didn’t tested the inverse)

Same obervation with the updated ATR - engine doesn’t run up after accidentially discharging the extinguisher (of engine 1), and GEN2 won’t work.
