I have also these Audio Sound Crackling in VR (and 2D). Flying over Ocean has less impact compared to flying over landclass. The issue appears very often (at least 1 time or more often between 5 to 10 Seconds) over Europe! It is so annoying, that MSFS2024 becomes less fun and I will go back to MSFS 2020.

I haven’t flown much this week, but I did notice this issue last night during a brief 30 minute flight around Los Angeles. I have flown fairly extensively in this same area since the release of FS2024 and only noticed audio crackling/dropouts as a significant issue last night, following Monday’s patch.

Soundstutters after Simupdate 03.12.24 FS2024
after the recent Sim Update I have constant Sound Stutters every 30-40 seconds

same here - was before the update too, but not as often !

For me this started after the patch i think. Every couple of seconds a CPU spike with freezing graphics and audio stutter. On the ground and in cruise. Very annoying.

Now i though i finally had it running more or less, this is the next issue.
Feels like 2020 release all over again.

I have audio stutter too. I think it’s since the last patch.

also getting these micro stutters, it always comes with an audio pop (similar to a record player “skip” sound). Happens with cities where a large amount of streamed data is being pushed through.

Getting audio stutters as well. I’ve also noticed they sometimes coincide with my PC’s RGB lights momentarily blinking (Corsair iCue)… CPU spikes perhaps?

System has a recent clean install of Win 11 Pro (24H2), with 7950X3D, 64GB RAM, RTX 4090.

Same here, and I haven’t noticed it in any other planes (737 Max, Longitude, A318). Definitely occurring with the CPU spikes, running on High settings.

I contacted the support on this issue via Zendesk. Very frustrating.

I told them it was since the patch, and that i already re-installed Windows with the onboard audio disabled, no other software installed but Windows 11 and MSFS2024. Bios defaults, etc.

The guy keeps on talking about MSI afterburner which i have never installed in my life, and the Realtek audio drivers, while i already said i disabled the device before installing windows.

I understand they follow a script but they ignore what i said in the message before or they didn’t even read it.

add -dx11 to icon properties… that solve the issue. Than can go back to Dx12.

Anyone with this problem have a Steelseries headset by chance?

Yup, I do. However, I deactivated the Steelseries driver/app. Audio stutters still persist.

I installed the app, which i normally don’t do and that seemed to help. It does install another driver, and when i remove the app it seems to revert to the one from windows.

But i feel tomorrow it can be completely different again.

FYI, I was experiencing audio stuttering during taxiing and after landing with the iFly 737 Max 8. After clearing and disabling the rolling cache, the audio stuttering issue is gone (MSFS 2020).
