Overview
Leg 13 is a pure PNG bush‑flying marathon: eleven short hops through wetlands, jungle, river bends, and remote communities. The Kodiak 100 and Caravan are in their absolute element here — short‑field performance, rugged handling, and superb visibility at low level. Expect tight approaches, soft‑field departures, and constant terrain immersion.

Waypoint Descriptions
AYDU — Daru
Depart the mangrove delta and track inland along the Fly River basin.
AYLQ — Lagoon Airstrip
A long, water‑fringed strip with a wide approach. Great early‑leg scenery.
KPL — Kapal Airport
Wetlands and short‑field ops. Expect soft‑field technique on departure.
AYDW — Dewara
A tight jungle approach with trees close to the threshold.
AYST — Sturt Island Airport
Remote, rugged, and atmospheric. Classic PNG bush‑strip energy.
AYSU — Suki (15‑min break)
Perfect midpoint. Grass strip, apron space, and easy in/out. 15‑minute rest stop.
AYOB— Obo Airport
Fly River community strip. Short, narrow, and surrounded by wetlands.
AYAK — Aiambak
River‑bend location with a compact runway. Great for group screenshots.
AYET — Bosset Airport
Jungle ridge strip with a slightly offset approach.
AYPC — Pangoa Airport
Atmospheric mission strip with a tight final and dense vegetation.
AYKI — Kiunga
A proper regional airport to close the leg. Long runway, apron space, and a clean finish.
Flight Notes

- Expect humidity, convection, and soft‑field conditions
- VFR only — terrain and river navigation are essential
- Hops are short: 8–18 minutes each
- Maintain spacing on approach — many strips have limited go‑around options
