The route takes us from Williamtown, North of Sydney to Canberra our Nations Capital, via touch and Goes at Bankstown and Goulburn and a Full Stop at Shell Harbour for our 10min break.

I thought long and hard about an aircraft that was available to most pilots (sorry XBox Pilots) and could track NDBs, VORs, fly and ILS and provide DME information.
The only one I could decide on was the FREE JP Logistics C152. It is no longer available from Flightsim.to and the latest version is considerably more feature rich than what was available back then.

Route: YWLM BK WOL GLB CB YSCB
Take Off from Williamtown Military(YWLM)
Turn left to 199 deg and track to the BK NDB 80nm
Note: the signal won't be picked up until roughly 40nm from the NDB.
Note: you can use the outbound direction from the WLM NDB to keep you on course.
When in range, fly 199 deg to the NDB (you might need to reposition the aircraft to approach from 199 deg).
Touch and Go at Bankstown(YSBK)
Set ADF for the WOL NDB and track 182 deg to the NDB 39nm
Full Stop Landing at Shell Harbour(YSHL) +++ 10 min break +++
Take Off from Shell Harbour(YSHL)
Track 241 deg towards the GLB NDB 54nm
Note: the signal won't be picked up until roughly 40nm from the NDB.
When in range, fly 241 deg to the NDB
Note: you might need to reposition the aircraft to approach from 241deg.
Touch and Go at Goulburn(YGLB)
Tune the CB VOR for Canberra and Track the 211 deg radial to the VOR 39nm.
At CB, track the 168 deg radial to YSCB and then continue to track the radial for 12nm from the VOR
Prepare the radios for the ILS approach with ILS Frequency and Course details, ready to activate when flying the ILS.
At 12 DME CB turn to track the reverse radial of 348 deg and intercept the localiser and glideslope for the ILS to RW35.
Full Stop Landing at Canberra(YSCB)
Altitude: 4,500’.

Aircraft: For this event, we will use the JP Logistics C152. Note: the Standard C152 will do everything except provide DME details.
We will land at Shellharbour(YSHL) for a 10 minute break.
IMPORTANT: In the interest of keeping it REAL, please refrain from selecting inappropriate aircraft, like airliners. This only detracts from the immersion of the flight.
Seeing Aircraft Correctly: You need to do two things to ensure you can see the other pilots in the event and see them in the aircraft they selected.
Select the same server: To do this, proceed as follows:
From the Welcome Screen, click on your Username (top right)
From the list of servers, under Servers, select WEST USA
Turn off Generic Planes: To do this, proceed as follows:
From the Welcome Screen, click on OPTIONS
Click on GENERAL
With TRAFFIC selected, scroll down to the last option and set USE GENERIC PLANE MODELS to OFF
Turning off Crash/Damage:
Select Options/Assistance
Expand Failure & Damage
Disable Crash Damage
Disable Aircraft Stress Damage
Disable Engine Stress Damage
Accept the changes
Voice Room: My personal Discord server is used for voice comms. If you haven’t already joined my server, click on the below link to request access. I will set you up as a Member so you can access the server. Ensure you do this prior to the flight, as latecomers will need to wait for the next event.

Weather/Time: We will set the time to 8am. This will allow us to fly in daylight and choose REAL weather.
From the World Map view, click on Flight Conditions (upper right of screen)
Click on All Players, Live Traffic, Custom
Under Weather and Time, select Live Weather and move the time slide bar to show 8:00am.
Click Close and Fly from the World Map view.
We can start departing from 20:00z. There will be no need for official radio calls. Lets just have some fun taking in the scenery and the social aspects of the event.

Set Landmark Markers to ON
