Pada tanggal 17-9-1950, AURI dilangsungkan penerbangan pertjobaan untuk para undangan dengan pesawat RI. 001, di Kemajoran.

The Repatriation (Gathering the troops) — Post-War 1945+

  • Aircraft: Douglas DC-3

  • Operational Profile: Grass runways, stoll and strategic island-hopping.

  • Background: Now that the war was over thousands of citizens and Dutch personnel had to be repatriated from regional camps in Indonesia. Transportation was difficult, troops where scattered all over the place.

  • Flight Notes: The DC-3 is a classic taildragger. Watch out for crosswinds on these shorter runways and esure you are fulle stabilized before touchdown. We will cruise between 7,000–9,000 feet at 140–150 KIAS.
