after i start the apu i am being pushed back, i am continuing to turn off assistance from the task bar. I have to do this every flight. why wont it save when i turn off assistance?? ATC communications is always on at start of flight. how stupid
It saves the switch position based on your Assist settings and the last switch you have in your previous flights.
If in your previous flights you have the AI Radio communication switch as On when you end the flight. The next flight will have it on as well.
So make sure you turn off all the assist before you end your flight, and the sim will save that setting.

What about in your General Assist settings? Do you set them to Hard/True to Life on everything? This usually turns off them by default. And to also solves a lot of flight controls and display issues.
bothers me, too. AI Comm handling is ok but that automatic pushback should be an option. voted here to see this covered at some point in time

The first thing I open when I start my flight is open the assist menu, make sure everything is off before I even start my battery. I’ve made it a habit because even before SU5, my Copilot always asks for clearance as soon as I start the battery, which I don’t want it to.

To be honest, I’d like the option for all AI options to be turned off when starting cold and dark. Sometimes I like to use the AI pilot when just relaxing or sightseeing, but if I forget to turn it off at the end of the flight or, more likely at the moment, the sim crashes while it’s switched on, the next flight starts with it switched on and I have to switch it off and restart the flight, which takes too much time.
AI comms is useful. AI pushback is utterly stupid.

i hate the pushback request, it’s super annoying on startup from cold and dark, but i like having it there to talk to the built in ATC
