Good morning.
I’m enjoying flying around in the cesna jet.
One problem has manifested itself up final approach…
I use the appr to line up with the runway.
As I am just about to touch down, with the wheels down and flaps up!
The jet suddenly starts to accelerate.
Even though I have disabled the autopilot by now.
What on earth is going on??.
From the Main Menu (or ESC Pause) Check your Options → Assistance. Make sure they’re all set to Hard/True to Life. This will make sure you have no built-in assistance options trying to “help” you doing your approach and landing.
Additionally, from your top toolbar menu, Open the Assistance menu as well. And make sure you have everything set to Off.
Use this as a base for now, and you can start enabling the assistance one thing at a time for the ones you need.
@PlushyHarp19648
Which Cessna? Furthermore the flaps should be fully down, not up!
If it’s the Longitude and you are using auto throttle (which is a different system than the auto pilot),
this is normal, since AT tries to maintain the current speed.
Sorry.
I meant the flaps down.
The cesna citation.
It does not have auto throttle.?
But the reply above may be what I’m looking for.
To disable assistance
Brilliant.
Thank you
If I recall correctly the Longitude has an auto-throttle and it is independent of Auto Pilot.
(If you disengage the AP the auto-throttle will still try and maintain whatever speed it has been instructed to maintain)
There is a “toggle” function for it…but ignore this. You want to be absolutely sure it’s ON or OFF so it’s better to use 2 keys and bind the Engage and Disengage
The Citation CJ4 has no auto-throttle.
Longitude auto-throttle buttons are behind the levers, I had also hard time finding out where they are:

Indeed. And they are in an awkward position to reach and use using clickable cockpit functions.
I mapped buttons to Arm Auto throttle and disengage auto throttle. These seem to work in Longitude to activate and disengage with simple and easy key presses..
