Autoland Not Working (No Airport Found) - Cirrus SF50 Vision Jet
Hi everyone,
I’m having trouble getting the Autoland feature to work on the Cirrus SF50 Vision Jet in MSFS 2024. I’ve seen YouTubers successfully use it, but no matter what I try, it doesn’t work for me. It always shows “No Airports Found.”
Here’s what I’ve done to troubleshoot so far:
- Made sure I’m above FL110 (11,000 feet).
- Tried engaging Autoland both with autopilot on and off.
- Ensured I had an active flight plan loaded into the flight computer.
Despite this, it still doesn’t work. Is there something I might be missing? Any advice or steps that worked for you would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks!
Doesnt work for me too with an already set plan.
There is a YouTube video re this problem, unfortunately it’s in German. I think he is saying Autopilot must be off for it to work? I’ve tried once & it still failed for me though.
I watched the video for you. JayDee explains that the workaround for the “No airports found” bug is to activate the Safe Return / Autoland feature, wait for the “No airports found” message, then disable AP to cancel the (failed) Autoland procedure, and finally hit the big and friendly red button again.
On the 2nd attempt, it always works, according to JayDee.
JayDee also advises to set your hardware controls for the throttle to idle after the Safe Return feature starts controlling the aircraft (auto throttle is active anyway), so the aircraft doesn’t “run away” after landing when it disables AT.
