Autopilot Beachcraft

I was using the ap in the A320 without problems. Then I chose to fly a beachcraft. Everytime I try to activate the ap I get a master caution warning and the ap is not doing anything. What am I doing wrong here?

What’s the master caution warning that you get?

I do not know how to see that. I only see that the light tutns on.

CAS (Central Alerting System) warning texts are displayed in MFD (Multi Function Display - middle display where you see map). You should see blinking red or yellow text.

Which Beechcraft? Sounds like maybe the KingAir 350. When you engage the autopilot without the Yaw Damper you get a master warning and the message displayed says Y/D off with A/P on. If you turn on the yaw damper it should go away. Not really how it works in the airplane, but that’s ok.

Thanks. No more master warning. but the ap is not taking the planned course. What else do I have to do?

Make sure that autopilot is set to follow FMS data. Click the bottom part of the synthetic vision in PFD (Primary Flight Display). A window will slide in, where you can choose between FMS, VOR1 and VOR2 navigation. After you select that, make sure NAV mode is on.
