Autopilot Disappointment

When applying force on the controls this is sensed by the autopilot and when exceeding a certain threshold the AP disengages and controls are handed over to the pilot.

I’m sure that it is not quite like IRL, but the way I feel it is when I don’t apply force, the yoke won’t budge, when I do, it does and AP disengages.
