Autopilot/ILS/GS Problems (A320n & A321 MSFS 2024)

I’ve only been able to do a few successful flights in the new sim, my favourite planes are the airbus family, I’ve flown to a few different airports such as Melbourne Intl, Bahrain, Dubai Sydney, and all have seemed to have a similar problem, all is well during takeoff, climb, and most of the way through cruise, but the first of 2 problems is (I’m unsure if this is a simulator side bug or iniBuilds side) but the plane when following the magenta flight plan seems to start slightly waving left to right slightly and it’s also seen on the Flight Director (even in calm winds this happens), but the second and more bothersome problem is on final approach to aforementioned airports (I haven’t tried any more to see if it’s any more) but every flight so far about 100-200ft from the threshold of the landing runway the GS, LOC, and both autopilots seem to turn off the plane jerks upwards and the throttle goes to 100% this is during CAT 3 Dual ILS landings every time so far, again I’m not sure if this is a bug on the simulator side as when using cursor mode the plane seems to make weird movements and then the AI copilot is stuck on yet there’s no settings at the moment to toggle on/off AI Copilot in cursor mode so it may be that it bugs out and gets stuck on and hence why the plane seems to be slightly fighting “some other force” throughout the flight, also possibly causing the random disconnection of the automatics during final approaches I’m not sure. I just thought it may be helpful to highlight here. Because the automatics and airplane etc. worked perfectly in the 2020 simulator.

Pretty much the same here.

Tonight a new issue appeared. While in cruise with everything stable, the autopilot disconnects, the throttles go to TOGA, and the plane pitches up and starts climbing at 4,500 fpm. After correcting everything and getting the plane level, it will not return to the set FL210 whether you click on managed or set. I also noted that the flight director had been turned off, the ILS was on, and the PFD showed the route as now a dotted line. The FMS showed that we were headed to the next waypoint, but the plane was now following a heading and not the flight plan.

I have all failures set to off. I’ve been at this since I first was able to log in two days after launch. I have yet to complete a flight in the MSFS-2024 A321 despite hours and hours of effort and a dozen failed flights.. I have had all the issues you listed and now this new one.

In MSFS 2020 I “flew” the A320N V2 as my go-to without any issues.

Reading your message reminded me of a similar experience I had earlier today. During a flight from Dubai to Tehran, I encountered the same issue. I also noticed that the Flight Director (FD) is switched off following these “events.” Like you, I exclusively flew the A320N V2 without any problems, including successful autoland operations where all systems functioned flawlessly.

However, I suspect that if the AI Copilot is inadvertently activated due to a bug, it could cause the FD to switch off, thereby disengaging the managed modes for heading and altitude. This would explain the numerous aborted landings and the “screw it, slam the plane onto the runway” approach I’ve had to resort to in order to at least complete the flight.

I’m relieved to see others reporting these issues, as I genuinely believed I might have been missing a step or making a pilot error. I even went back to flying the same aircraft in 2020 to verify if I was at fault. It’s reassuring to know I’m not alone in experiencing these persistent challenges.

I’m going to submit another “bug” report tomorrow. That said, I doubt it will make any difference.

Yeah it’s better than nothing I guess worth a shot
