Sometimes when I set my Nav Mode on and autopilot, the autopilot will constantly move left and right of the way point line never centering itself on it. The plane also flies sideways as well… and no it is not because of the wind. It will fly sideways in autopilot on the waypoint line.
Hi @CrypticNord6431 ,
Thank you for this report. We’ve moved your topic into the User Support Hub.
The Bug Reporting Hub is for posting suspected or confirmed bugs that other users are able to reproduce without duplicating an existing bug report. Using the template or providing all the relevant information about your bug and sim setup is required in order to provide valuable information, feedback, and replication steps to our test team.
If you are not sure if your issue is a bug or need further input from the community, please use the User Support Hub category. If the community can replicate your issue, first search the Bug category to see if there’s an existing topic. If it already exists, contribute to that report. Duplicate bug reports will be closed.
If you believe it is a new report and no duplicate exists, then create a new bug topic using the provided topic template.
All issues caused by or involving third-party addons/mods should be reported to the third-party developer. Assure that no addons/mods are used when reporting issues in Bug Reports.
Some recommendations when creating a bug report:
-
prior to create it, search for any existing ones to avoid duplicates
-
do not delete the template. Fill in all the required fields, they are very important for the devs to reproduce it and log it into their system. Also it is very useful for other users that want to contribute to your topic using the embedded template
-
report only 1 issue per topic
Thank you.
Which aircraft are you experiencing this issue with? I’ve encountered it with the A320 v2 and the A321LR. I believe it’s a bug in the AI copilot cursor mode, particularly on the Xbox version. The aircraft appears to be constantly wobbling back and forth, engaged in a battle with an AI copilot. However, there’s no way to disable or enable the AI copilot in cursor mode, even when exiting cursor mode. The wobbling persists even in calm weather conditions. I tried using the 2020 sim version, and it flies straight, ruling out that issue. Additionally, I know the weather can’t be the cause because the problem persisted even when I removed wind and other weather-related effects.
It happens on all planes for me. It also happens when I use VNAS and FLC, but instead of it going sideways, the plane will continually go up and down. So ******* annoying.
The flight director (FD) and automatic systems consistently disengage approximately five seconds before touchdown during ILS approaches. While the wiggling motion persists throughout the flight, the abrupt disconnection of the FD and automatic systems at the final moments of landing is particularly problematic. Although I can overlook issues like poor level-of-detail (LOD) and blurry ground textures, it becomes difficult to enjoy the experience when I can’t complete a flight from point A to point B as seamlessly as I could in the same aircraft back in 2020. Currently, flying my favorite aircraft, the A320 family, has become a source of significant frustration.
It happens on the C172, C208 for me - it seems I get the vertical up and down motion which is worse the higher the simrate. I therefore think the calculations on climbing/descending to meet an altitude is not reacting quick enough (or inputs are too harsh from the AP) and therefore goes past where it intends. The faster the simrate, the slower all the calculations become and thus it’s later that the plane reacts.
I also get a lateral wiggle almost like someone is dancing on my rudder pedals. With or without YD. I think the wind may have some contributing factor to this as I notice this change +/- 5-10 knots. However, the C208 also seems to bank too sharply with the AP. It will also over-correct itself and therefore fly through the lateral navigation it’s trying to follow and then forever be banking left, right, left right… to catch up with itself. This is also noted to be worse with simrate so again I think it’s to do with the AP calculations not being smooth enough and being too harsh.
I had the C208 do this to me yesterday, on the ‘clear skies’ weather preset; everything seemed fine for the first 10-15 minutes but as i was on approach to RW8 at KBUR it just started slowly oscillating left and right, bigger and bigger each time, until I disengaged and went in on manual.
This is insanity. How could they release this game and expect people to pay up to 200 dollars for it when it is this broken. These people are so out of touch and greedy. I am about to retire from gaming entirely because this is common practice now days. How ridiculous.
