Aviat Pitts Special S2S is grossly under powered

ISSUE DESCRIPTION

Description of the issue:
The default Aviat Pitts Special S2S barely has enough power to get airborne in free flight.

If applicable, which aircraft is experiencing this issue:
Aviat Pitts Special S2S - all liveries

[PC Only] Did you remove all your community mods/add-ons? If yes, are you still experiencing the issue?

FREQUENCY OF ISSUE

How often does this occur for you (Example: Just once, every time on sim load, intermittently)?

Every time I fly it.

REPRODUCTION STEPS

Please list clear steps you took in order to help our test team reproduce the same issue:

  1. Launch game and enter free flight
  2. Select the Aviat Pitts Special S2S aircraft.
  3. Select any airport
  4. Attempt to take off in the aircraft and notice that it takes an excessive amount of time and distance to get airborne.

Note: The Pitts Special S1S does NOT have this issue.

In addition, the aircraft never can gain speed over approx. 70 in level flight.

• I have the same issue. With the prop RPM control fully forward can only get 2000 RPM rather than the 2500 to 2700 in FS 2020.

• Same issue for me, power way too low on pitts

Having the same issue here, specifically on takeoffs. For some reason, if you do manage to get airborne, the RPM will usually start rapidly increasing shortly thereafter, without any configuration changes to the aircraft. It’s like there’s some sort of throttler stopping the RPM from getting past a certain value on takeoff.

Not only Pitts S2S, but also the skyvan and DHC-4 Caribou don’t reach sufficient speed to fly.
I now have the impression that MS’s legendary aircraft have this power shortage problem.

Ont the Pits S2S there’s something wrong with the fuel pressure.

• yes, it is very annoying, had the same issue with the AN-2

• A very long take-off-run is required to get the plane out of the RPM-“hole”
