Yeah this is a shame…i spent $200 for the Aviator Edition. None of my previous planes were imported over (as i thought they would be), i tried the vidion Jet the other day, all the electronics, panels and screens were having a spasm, flashing and blinking. What the heck is going on?
I know this particular post was past Nov, but my experiences were just a week ago in Jan 2025. I even uninstalled and reinstalled hoping to get clean new updated install. That may have happened, but i see no difference ans my previous purchased planes do not show up.
Can you copy from old community folder to the new? I tried that too, msfs2024 locks the folder and i am administrator of my pc. So where do the planes go???
Personally they should have stayed with the previous interface. The new one drives me crazy.
I am a private pilot and its easier to fly the real aircraft than all these extra steps to simulate flying an aircraft. Again for $200 i feel cheated.
No offence intended but after their last effort what did you expect ! I subscribed to game pass so I’ve only lost a small amount of money and up to now I haven’t seen one good review.
I am having the same issue. I bought the Aviator addition from MS before Christmas and I still do not have anything other than the standard addition acft.
Did you actually get a resolution?
Like the Romans in the Asterix books would say, “join the MSFS2024 thing, they said; you would have nearly full compatibility for your MSFS2020 content, they said”.
Well, I see that we are quickly jumping from one SU to the Beta for the next one, and this is great, but I haven’t seen any plans for which is THEIR content. Maybe I have been very unlucky with my MSFS2020 purchases, but this is how they look in my library today:
You can’t see the Dornier Do J, or the Junkers because they are considered packs and packs are not labelled, but I can tell you all of them are UNVERIFIED (and in some cases, like the Antonov, unflyable)
My question is, considering that, at the end of the day, they are Microsoft products, and Microsoft announced nearly full compatibility, shouldn’t they’ve received at little more love?
The whole sim is broken. SU2 put it in a much better place, but a lot of things (career mode) still don’t work. As much as I hate how official addons are basically abandoned, the sim itself should still take priority.
That said, once Asobo feels like the sim is in a stable place, they absolutely need to turn their attention to ALL the FF/LL addons. They need overhauls, and it’s insulting that official addons are unsupported.
Keep in mind that the Aviator’s Edition is still for sale. Imagine all the people who bought the $200 version of FS24, only to find that a huge number of the aircraft they paid for broken.
To those folks, these aren’t addons, they’re base aircraft. Imagine Laminar Research selling a version of X-Plane with INCOMPATIBLE AIRCRAFT INCLUDED! That’s what Asobo is doing!
Their handling of these addons is appalling. And that they’re willing to give them away for free on more than one occasion speaks volumes about their real value. They’re basically worthless.
Hi, “Unverified” does not imply that they are not compatible. It means that the developer has not signed off on them yet for MSFS 2024. They might be just fine, or they might require some tweaks, or in a worst case scenario, the developer might label them permanently incompatible or not available.
Now, one might argue that the fact that they’re not verified yet is another sign that MSFS 2024 was rushed to market, and that the developers (e.g., from the screenshot, Oliver Moser, Aeroplane Heaven, iniBuilds) were not given enough time to learn the new SDK before the sim went live. I think that’s completely fair.
But, as they are, I don’t think that the “Unverified” mark should anyone you from enabling them in My Library and trying them out.
If they are included in some versions of the sim, they should be native 2024 aircraft just like all the rest. Not only are they not native, they’re not even updated. They’re exactly the same as they were in FS20, broken bits and all.
Yes I know. In fact for many airports, for example that’s the situation. And in the case of the Twin Beech, although I haven’t tried it I know that the great Denarq’s mod is currently working, so I figure it may be in an acceptable state. But in the other hand, I tried the Antonov and it was completely broken.
Of course I can enable all, and try them one by one, but I don’t want to invest the time I have to enjoy the sim discovering whether they are able or not to complete a flight. I ask the developers to do it for me.
If you have purchased the Aviator Edition & do not see all the aircraft in that edition in “My Library”, you can open a ticket with the ZenDesk here for support on this.
Question please, I checked my library and enabled everything next to the Aviator Tag. It happens they are all 2020 planes. They all appear in my hangar now. Is this what the “Aviator Edition” is, just all the 2020 planes which are not verified?
OMG, that is such a rip off! The same planes… That should have been stated prior to folk buying into the ideal that these were new and exclusive because it was the " best possible" version of MSFS 2024! I now feel seriously cheated.
