Anyone got this working on the A310? Most of the buttons don’t work for me.
Also the com/nav knob seems to have some overlap (I.e. turning the knob clockwise/ anti-clockwise produces the same key combo) anyone else having this issue?

i have the same problem. but i have not yet managed to contact the developer of the a310.
Anyone successfully mapped all buttons ?
Com1/Com2 buttons - How have you set ? Find if adjusting Com2 , Com1 is also adjusted.
Set the switch to COM1, and then add the settings for that dial, then click the switch to COM2 and enter the settings for the com channel… Because you’ve flicked the switch, the control settings will be slightly different and register a new keybind.
That’s how the manual and videos on Youtube tell you how to set up COM1/2.
When I adjust COM2 the frequency for COM1 also changes.
All I can suggest is that you double check your settings - they should be slightly different from each other, it sounds as if they’re identically mapped in your case.
I was having the same issue with overlapping COM1/2 and NAV frequencies. It turns out that when you scan and map COM1 it turns on CAPs lock. What I ended up doing is setting COM1/2 and NAV1/2 mappings using my keyboard and just made sure CAPs lock was turned off manually between input scans. I reported this to AXAIR

So you’re using your keyboard rather than the MIAP for COM1/2 and NAV ?
Or are you saying when mapping make sure you get the correct input by making sure CAPSLK is off ?
On my laptop, I opened http://en.key-test.ru in a web browser and connected the MIAP to a USB port. I then used the MIAP COM1 and NAV1 controls (per the MIAP user manual) to actually see and record what key combinations were being output. This is what I discovered. Each row numbered 13 through 20 corresponds to the same row in the MIAP user manual “table A”
COM Freq
13: RCTRL + RALT + “
14: RCTRL + RALT + CAPS
15: RCTRL + RALT + }
16: RCTRL + RALT + {
NAV Freq
17: RCTRL + RALT + :
18: RCTRL + RALT + ~
19: RCTRL + RALT + |
20: RCTRL + RALT + <
I then went through the process of mapping these key combinations into MSFS using the “input scan” method but used a keyboard instead of the MIAP to enter the combinations above. Between each input scan I turned off the CAPLOCK key on my keyboard if it had been turned on. Once I did this for all the COM1/NAV1 actions I was able to use the MIAP controls (ie the FREQ knob, com/nav switch and SWAP button) which now had no overlapped key maps and worked fine in the sim.
I just got one of these; it looks great and feels solid. All the posts on this topic are helpful. With all of the click-dials available, I wonder if there is any way to map one of the click-dials on the device to the MFD knob in the G3000, which otherwise can only be accessed and controlled with a mouse or XBox controller (A to select it and the R joystick to zoom in and out). Zooming the MFD map on the XBox this way is a pain, especially since the knob is not near the MFD, and I’d like to map one of the MIAP click-dials to click to select the MFD map zoom controller and then dial to zoom in and out. If anyone has figured this out, I’d be grateful for advice.
I agree with you that it would be great to be able to assign one of the knobs to zooming the MFD. Unfortunately, if you’re on XBOX like I am, if the game doesn’t allow a binding (as it currently stands), it’s not possible. I believe PC users have utilities such as spad.neXt that can enable such functionality.
Maybe now that working title has taken over development of the Garmins there’s a chance of some improvement in the area. Maybe go over to their discord and ask around there. https://discord.com/invite/Fa6w2xK
Has anyone figured out a way to speed things up when using the MIAP rotary knobs?
For example, it takes me quite a bit of twisting to set the OBS, CDI or HDG from 360 to 180 when using the MIAP rotary knobs. Not to mention attempting to set FL180 or higher.
I just end up using my mouse to make these big changes in the cockpit, and then use the MIAP knobs to fine tune things.
Kind of emersion breaking for me, but I wonder if others have discovered a trick to speed up the movement of these actions.
Thanks!
The MIAP just sends keypresses so unless there is a x10 binding or similar I doubt there is a solution, its the same using Airmanager and a Knobster on PC.
I’m not sure if it’s hardcoded into the sim or if it’s my brain playing tricks on me but on the Garmins I find if I turn the knob rapidly sometimes it jumps, at least in altitude. Heading is more laborious, especially on planes like the 414A which seems to turn the knob at half the rate of anything else.
You need something like Spad.next to add acceleration to the dial. Easy to do with Spad.
Thanks so much for the reply and, yes, I’m on a console. Your response is what I suspected was the case but hope springs eternal. I will continue to check back with Discord and put a suggestion in with Working Title. On a positive note, I did all the control programming “in-game” today, which took a while, and I took my first IFR flight with the MIAP. It didn’t work perfectly, but it was fantastic except for a few kinks I need to fine-tune. So much more convenient when playing on the console.
Anyone noticed the following issue on the MIAP.
When you reduce altitude using the MIAP the altitude drops by 1000ft on first click but then climbs by 10000ft there after. Thought it was a config error as set to wrong MIAP but changed to correct one and no change.
What do you think of the narrow spacing between the knobs? Is it an issue at all with usability?
Hi. I have also run into an issue with my axiar on Xbox. For some reason in th PMDG 737, when I click the autothorttle switch it is now also turning the APP hold button on. I have checked and there does not seem to be a conflicting button assignment. It has only just started doing this today.
Any advice?
