Not yet purchased - as per the website recommendations - try demo first to make sure it works with your hardware before buying. I have a second button box I can try to see if that also ‘sticks’, but what you are descibing sounds exactly what is happening.
Have installed the new 2.08 version. With my Thrustmaster T16000 Joystick the axis in front of the stick is not moving anymore in aao.
The same problem is with the Thrustmaster Throttle TWCS. There the wheel axis on the left side is not working anymore. With the previous version of aao both are working without a problem. This is in all my planes.
Very strange. The Axis is selected when i move it in this screen.
Here its not moving:
But when i double click the entrie and change the position of the axis on the throttle → close the “Change Axis Assignment” Windows → then the shown position of the axis has changed:

That is weird. TMBK the axis processing logic hasn’t been changed in 2.08. Did you try to reassign it? Or is the app not picking it up at all?
Please consider sending an email to the address on the last page of the manual. Remember to provide your proof of purchase.
Hi Oliver, I cannot store large number in variables anymore. Example: (E:ABSOLUTE·TIME,·Seconds)·(>L:test1)·(L:test1)·(>L:test2)

How did you get an axis and a simulator event into the same assignment??? That shouldn’t be possible.
Update - other button box performing properly, guess there must be a short on my wiring or arduino controller programming issue I need to investigate.
Deleted the old Axis.
Then add with the + a new one:
Move the Axis on the side of the throttle and select the “Select simulator axis”:
then “add” Button
New assignment is here:
Double klick on this new assignment and that is shown:
…very strange

word not allowed you are right! Sorry about that, this range protection should cover the fact that SimConnect variables are sometimes initialized to too large values.
Please send me an email with your proof of purchase and you can have a fixed version 2.09.
It’s ok for now. Did a workaround with modulo
…very strange
Confirmed, that might be an old issue though.
What about those axis, can you assign them to something else, and are they working then?
But - I’d really recommend that you send me an email, a forum is no place for this IMHO. Posts are becoming too big.
I appear to have a similar issue with 2.08
With the prior version 2.07, I had the rudder axis mapped to the slider on the TFRP pedal.
Today I installed 2.08 on top of the existing installation. It sees my existing mappings but the axis no longer moves when I move the pedal. I deleted and reassigned the mapping (AAO detected the slider during this process) but it does not respond within the main “Assigned Axis” box.
email is send. thanks

I think the issue may be that these are Sliders. This is not good (because I don’t have a single controller with a slider ), and is certainly not intended. Please roll back to the 2.07 for the time being. And/or send me an email, I will need assistance to nail this down.
My Warthog Slider 0 is also not working in the CJ4 for Spoiler Axis anymore. Works perfectly in 2.07.
Yes, the Joystick library is no longer picking up sliders. Not sure why, I will buy a Joystick with sliders right away.
You have two options: use the 2.07 or send me an email with your proof of purchase - I can provide the hottest of hotfixes that should solve the problem too (but it is by no means the final solution)
Already opened a ticket on JustFlight.
And bought it again on SimMarket
Same problem here.
Same problem here.
The slider problem has been identified and fixed in 2.09.
Would somebody with a Warthog, who is experiencing this problem, please contact me? I need to double check that it is really resolved for all devices.
Hello @ll,
anybody having trouble operating the engine switches on the Thrustmaster TCA in AAO 2.08?
Hello @ll,
Hotfix 2.09 b04 is out now.
This fixes the issue with the slider type axis.
This version also has a new button on the “Add/Change Button” dialogs to suppress the currently visible input event. This should help if you have a stuck button or encoder on your devices somewhere.
Other bugfixes:
- LEDs getting stuck for slow/fast turn button configurations
- App crash when selecting “None” on the axis assignment dialogs
- Range protection cuts LVar values
- Saitek Panels not remembering the operation mode automatically
