[AzurPoly Group] - Transall C-160

Do you know a keybind for releasing them? Regards

Yes it is a good solution !!

Chaff is the opposite of a weapon, it stops them.

Lol.Yes your right.

The C160 has flares not chaff and they work fine in the marketplace version.
You can open the cargo door in flight and release flares and see them from the back of the plane.

What about the other stores ?

Will this be available outside the marketplace?

Thankyou thats what i wanted to know.

Orbx lists AzurPoly as a partner with 2 products there, so hopefully we may also get this aircraft there.

They stated on their facebook page on the 24 of april

Selling on third-party stores will be considered in a second phase only, we do not have any date to communicate for now, so no need to ask us.

No, i used the buttons in the cockpit.

Any idea how to reopen the tablet once closed ?

There is a button just behind the yoke. It has a blue circle around it.

It looks decent fidelity off the bat. It will take a lot of time to see just how good it is. I’m stumbling about at the moment but I will say it does look very good initially.

Usual routine for me I’ll go through the systems bit by bit and then make a call on it after cross checking manuals, flight data etc etc.

On the Xbox it’s system heavy but works and no CTD’s or anything yet.

Aircraft like this interest me so it was a buy for me but as to details on how good it is I’m not entirely sure just yet.

Edit: The Caribou peaked my interest for the same reasons but it didn’t have enough to keep me coming back. Windows not opening mediocre systems depth etc. This does have that, you open the window and it’s loud. Not only that it’s ear piercing pitch with headphones on. The cargo bay has multiple options for loading and looks really good.

Initial tests passed but there’s a lot to this one to check and be able to fly.

Anyone found out what the Cruise climb speed is? What power settings for different procedures ( climb, Cruise, descent)?

Nowhere near checking at the moment and likely won’t be for a while.

My quick review aka jumping to conclusions after exactly 1 flight.

Good things:

  • Sounds are fantastic, probably the best in the sim, yes they are that good.
  • Nice modeling, it may have a few textures here and there that could be improved but very good overall.
  • All doors open and have nice animations, plane kneels to load cargo.
  • Flight model seems to be very good but what the heck do I know about how a C160 should fly? It feels heavy and has some slow reactions that I like for the type of plane it is.
  • It can release flares, total gimmick but who is not going to do it?
  • I really like hand-flying it, it feels very nice, heavy beast but agile at the same time.
  • Electrical system seems to be fully modeled.
  • EFB does the job, I hate having a dummy AP in the EFB I want the real AP in the real plane but that’s me.
  • Cockpit lighting for night flying is… is… exquisite is probably a word for it and frenchy enough.

Bad things:

  • The ā€œcustom FMCā€ is actually a joke, it can only be used to set COM and NAV frequencies, I would really remove that line from product features because it is very very deceiving.
  • AP is very basic and to me not having radio navigation is unacceptable in a payware.
  • I did have a couple of CTDs, so it may have a bug here or there.
  • Documentation is at least incomplete, we only have a table of VREF speed per weight but we don’t have takeoff data, cruise data, performance, nothing. The manual even mentions takeoff and landing cards but does not provide the information to fill those out. Shame!
  • Propeller effects are heavy on FPS in external views but can be turned off from the EFB.
  • No GPS, I don’t pretend to have a full-fledged GPS in a plane from the 60s but for the latest ones I’m sure there was a GPS in the cockpit even if uncoupled from the plane systems. That would be nice to have as an option over the dashboard or somewhere in the cockpit.
  • Instruments are hard to read.
