Push it again. I’ve found that removing the EFB by clicking on the margin of the tablet doesn’t appear to flag it as “not present” for purposes of the button on the front panel. If you click the button trying to bring it back, I think the system is treating it as a “remove EFB” command because of that. If I click the button AGAIN, it comes back.
Me too, cant get EFB back after removing…
TACAN is not, as far as I’m aware in any way secret ( especially given pretty detailed implementations elsewhere ) - it’s not a precision system like GPS, it’s just a different sort of VORDME that you can stick in a moving vehicle if you want. I haven’t seen anything in MSFS that lets you define a movable radio beacon, so I think the one or two aircraft that have some TACAN implementation just treat stations as extra VORs. Nice to have and Navigraph certainly lists TACAN stations you can tune up ( and if you’re in a civvie aircraft use as DME ), but not essential.
Got it. Thanks
Yes I thought that too but I haven’t looked in any detail. Thanks
I’m getting a horrific FPS drop in external view. For comparison, I get +60 with the A310 and Caribou, but with the Transall my external view FPS drops to 6. SIX. If I end the flight and jump into any other plane, I get back to +60 FPS.
I believe there is something suspicious in the modeling of the cockpit, because if I use my TrackIR in external view and slowly look from the back of the plane to the front, the FPS drops to 40 as I pan to mid-wing. It’s down to 36 when I’m looking at the engine nacelles and down to 32 when I have the propellers in view. As I pan up the fuselage to the cockpit my FPS drops to 12 and then bottoms out at 6.
If I pan around the inside of the cockpit in the pilot’s position, I note that the FPS drops down to 12 when I am looking at the center console. If I zoom in to the center console, my FPS “improves” to 25fps, but it appears that when I am looking at the FMS display (the box next to the pilot’s seat) that is where the bulk of my FPS loss comes from.
I do not have prop vortices turned on. Chocks and covers are removed. Dust is turned off. Copilot is turned off. The plane is cold and dark. My drivers are fully updated. No other external programs are running.
Very strange nullv, on my Xbox it works really well. I do occasionally get a slight drop from external view but nothing major.
You say your drivers are fully updated I know some on PC have issues with the current dx with lots of aircraft and no common problematic ones. It might be worth flagging in a separate thread and reverting back to older ones to see if that helps.
There’s a lot going on in this plane and maybe needs optimising I don’t know but it’s going to be more system heavy than most I would imagine. On my Xbox it’s runs well but I’ve not tried it on pc yet.
Yeah actually I started out with older drivers, saw my awful FPS, then had them updated. FPS issue still persists.
Just for fun I turned on all of the bells and whistles in the EFB-- the same ones people were claiming had an adverse effect on FPS-- no change whatsoever. I’m going to reinstall the PMS50 GTN750 and see if that changes anything.
Very odd.
Navigating with NDBs don’t seem to work in the C-160, anyone else having this issue? I have the freq dialed in and set to active, and chosen it to be shown in the EHSI. The direction to the NDB is just twitching like it’s bugged… I’ve also confirmed with another aircraft that the NDB works.
So thought this plane was good and just finished a night flight. Wow, the lights in this thing internal and external are excellent. AzurPoly I have to say hats off on this one it’s very very good. The sounds are excellent the complexity is decent and it looks great. Also little things like when the back door is open you can freely walk out. Now I have no idea if intentional but saves me messing about with cameras. The flight model is very believable and feels heavy as it should. Your tablet is functional in every way and the map is not system heavy at all. It’s useful because I can check my navigation logic against it. Excellent product so far and one of the better planes in the sim. As far as it is close to real life I have no idea but it’s great to fly and brings back good memories of similar aircraft. It’s got bells and whistles and the fundamentals done to a very good standard.
I can only hope you will improve it, from the manual there are a few things to be added in future patches, such as radio on the Ap. I’ve enjoyed all of your products to date but this one gets a massive thumbs up from me👍
It’s not study level and doesn’t claim to be but it’s definitely on the right path. Best buy I’ve had in ages and completely unexpected. Sits in the hanger next to my DC6 but I won’t compare them, yet.
Yes I tried and had no luck. Not tested it properly yet though. Only focused on VOR at the moment.
Alright, I’ve got cold start figured out, except the Electronic Artificial Horizon and Compass. Any idea where the switch for those is? I’m just not finding it, in-sim or in the manual.
Is someone tried the fuel transfer ?
Unable to transfer tank C to A for me …
Same think for pressure cabin. Nothing in the document.
No switch both are on but you have to increase their brightness, you have two knobs next to both instruments to make them brighter.
Thank you! That was the last bit I needed!
Thanks to this the NAV works! Nice for IFR flight, at least until app
Hi there.
I still have the old files from Transall for FS2004. I am allowed to post this stuff since I was part of the team back then.
You can download a zip from this site with the manual of the old addon in german and speedtables for different weights and flap settings.
For further questions feel free to contact me.
