AzurPoly SEPECAT Jaguar incoming

I can confirm, that the HUD IS working!! There are some buttons and switches hidden behind the control stick. But don’t expect too much. It’s a very basic display - just a hardly visible green line or a few dots. Basically, it’s useless. (But it technically works!)

It is great aircraft but I do hope that they get a more representative weapon load for the RAF GR1 and GR1a (and an RAF pilot).

And a GR1A cockpit at some point. I have to keep reminding myself that this was originally going to be the French Jaguar only, so I’m grateful that they gave us the GR1A external model.

Fingers crossed that there is enough demand to make these additions to the airplane worthwhile in AzurPoly’s eyes.

It has the flight path vector so I wouldn’t say it is useless, it shows you where the aircraft is going.

(Edited because the vid I found was for the wrong Jaguar version, the Azurpoly version is the A and the HUD seems to be accurate)

Another no show in 2024, this is getting tedious…

It popped up on Simmarket this past weekend, and it includes both a ‘20 and ‘24 version.

The Azurpoly roadmap as explained on their discord is as follows:

  • The 2020 version is 2024 compatible but won’t be released in the Marketplace so if you want it (now) then get it from a third-party store like Contrail or Simmarket.
Edit: This was incorrect, the 2020 version will be released in the 2020 Marketplace once it is converted by the Marketplace team.
  • There will be a 2024 “native” version in the 2024 Marketplace and third party stores that will be “better” than the 2020 version. It will cost about $5 extra than the 2020 version.
  • If you have the 2020 version you will be able to upgrade to the native 2024 version for that same $5 difference.

So the most logical thing to do if you plan to have the Jaguar in 2024 is to buy it from a third-party store and install it in 2024, once Azurpoly releases the native 2024 version you can pay for the upgrade fee if you want.

I personally will wait for the native 2024 version because all these chaos is just too crazy for my simple mind.

Eventually I might be no longer interested when the native 2024 version is released and then Azurpoly can proudly say they found a way to prevent me from buying one of their products (I have them all before this).

That makes two of us. With just a few exceptions, like the Flying Iron Spitfire, I’m holding off on MSFS 2024 compatibilty updates and user fixes - there’s just too much weirdness to cope with.

Happier to wait for fully native versions at this point.

I don’t think that’s correct that the 2020 MP version won’t come to 24; I asked the same question earlier today and got this response:

Thanks for the correction “they are currently overwhelmed” is a good description of the chaos.
JustFlight will just not go this way, not sure why Azurpoly can but discussing anything related to the marketplace is pointless as it is just not working.

I 100% Agree. All this native/premium/additional costs is just pure Chaos as is 2024 itself. I’ve given up now. If after SI2:full release I don’t start seeing an end to this chaos I’m sticking with XP12 and deleting MSFS 2024.
I can’t honestly keep up with it all. It’s no longer fun, no longer engaging for me. It’s just frustrating and anemic at the moment.
Buy add-ons for the old SIM, you might get an upgrade you might not.

I agree with you fully, either wait for the “Native” version or just don’t buy

Hello,
Sorry but there is nowhere we said that. The 2020 version is compatible with 2024 and is planned to be proposed in the 2024 Marketplace.

From our latest communication (six days ago):
“this product is fully compatible with FS 2024.”
“If you bought it on the Microsoft Marketplace, you will also be able to fly it in FS 2024, we are currently waiting for Microsoft to make it available in the FS 2024 Marketplace, which can take few days (as usual for any new product).”

For now it is in the hands of Microsoft, they have to transfer it in FS 2024. As a developer, we do not have any control on that, we can only wait. :upside_down_face:

The native 2024 version will be another product with few more features, and nobody is “forced” to buy it in order to fly the Jaguar in FS2024.

I hope it clarifies.

Yes, thank you for the clarification.

I should have said “the 2020 version is also compatible with 2024 but it needs to be converted by Microsoft to be available in the Marketplace so if you want it NOW then you should buy it from a third party store”, at least if I understand the process correctly.

Not your fault Azurpoly but it is kind of a mess. I’m not sure when if ever the 2020 version will be available in the 2024 Marketplace but I can just buy it from a third party store and use it in both sims. That is like a loyalty program but backwards, MS is penalizing the users that use their Marketplace.
Or I can wait and buy the “native” 2024 version and not deal with how to pay the upgrade fee and how that will work or when it will be available.

I have the Bede, the C160, the Bronco, the TB30 and the Fouga all are amazing products and I’m sorry your Jaguar got caught in the 2024 Marketplace confusion.

I’m not planning to buy anything for 2020 so I will wait for the native 2024 version, hopefully I will still be interested in the plane when that is released.

I will edit my former post to avoid confusing other forum members!

NAV, refuel probe and formation lights switches don’t work on 2024. Will exterior lighting be fixed for 2024 users?
Taxi and landing lights look epic though :slightly_smiling_face:

Got the answer from AP on their Discord. Lagacy mode to be fixed next update.
Thanks Azurpoly!

Are there any plans to broaden the range of attachable stores? I was kind of disappointed not to see Matra/SNEB pods as an option as it was what I remember them most frequently carrying (other than drop tanks). I imagine the french jaguars carried them too - SNEB was a decidedly french weapon, even if the RAF used them widely.

I’m seeing a few issues with the latest SU2 Beta. Can anyone confirm?

Sometimes some animations and functions are frozen on first start (Pitot Heat switch, Throttle pin, APU not starting) and the status of external elements on the EFB doesn’t match the actual state (Covers, Wheel Chocks, Ladder).

Once I reload the flight it works again, although some other things might stop working. The Pitot Heat switch was frozen in the On position after reloading the flight, for example.

P.S.: now the left engine doesn’t start. Very weird.

2024 model is out!

If you upgrade its only 4.99 somethings!

Cool, sooner than expected!

This is the Marketplace 2020 version. It seems to have installed itself rather than it being streamed. Rather odd.
