B787 Number Two Engine Issues after update (23/08/23)

Hi All,

I ran the small MSFS update yesterday. I have tried on three occasions to fly the B787. Each time I start ‘ready for take off’ on the runway and each time, engine number two (left hand engine) is not working properly and I get a ‘Roll / Pitch Asymmetry’ message on the display. In addition the ‘Gen Switches’ for the engine are flickering ‘fault’. I have tried closing the engine down and restarting but it refuses to function normally. I am either doing something wrong or there is an issue following the update. Has anyone else experience this?

Many thanks.

Hi, I’ve just started a new flight from the runway on the defaut B747 and the engines are both running regularly .You might have a problem on your controller profile.

It seems that instead of making it better, they made it worse. I have done two long flights since the update. The first, NZAA-SCEL, marked the T/D almost above the destination airport, so I had to descend manually in a hold that, to top it off, had gigantic dimensions, complicated in an area with a mountainous environment where there was also bad weather and zero visibility.
Second flight, SBGR-LEMD performed the T/D without problems but once at 14,000 feet it did not continue descending again I had to resort to a hold which was well sized but with flaps deployed at 15 it overspeeded to almost 300 knots. A real disaster. I fly on a virtual airline and I had all my flights over 99% and with this last one, 89%. Kuro please cover the hole that Asobo just made.

It’s the 787 that’s the issue; I just did a cold and dark start and the left engine is still misbehaving!

It’s all weird. Today I did 2 flights with the B787 and found no problems on the engine. Instead, for the first time ever in my experience, ATC voice was off while it’s onscreen pop-up was regularly updated. Checked all the related settings that are ok.
In addition, on my second IFR flight, the ILS freq has not been auto-loaded after the take-off as usual and It was impossible to enter it manually too. Hope it’s just a server problem for today and maybe ,by tomorrow, it will be ok.

EDIT : today I did a new flight and all was fine. Engine both OK. ATC voice was back…and doing fine,I would say much better than in the past.No problems to descend and engage the ILS on time.Perfect!!. ILS freq was auto-tuned at mid flight and the manual ILS freq entering was also fine ( Must enter : Ils freq/route).
