Brief description of the issue:
Using a TCA Sidestick Airbus, increasing the throttle results in the throttle levers moving up, but no sound or thrust accompanies it in the B787. This does not happen in any other aircraft.

Not yet.

If anyone has experienced this, please let me know. Or maybe if its an aircraft config issue, could you send what your config files look like?

The engines aren’t running because all fuel pumps are off.

That’s why they don’t respond to your throttle input.

Why they are off, I don’t know. At least both fwd fuel pumps must be on.

I’ve also noticed that your throttles are in their max reverse thrust position at the start of the flight.

You’re right, the problem is the fuel pumps. However, when I click them, nothing happens. This seems similar to some other issues online involving the fuel pumps and Sim Update 2.
Do you think that some configuration file is messed up? I do have the most recent update from Steam. Could you somehow send an updated version of the files pertinent to the issue?

The problem is, that as soon as you click on ready to fly, the engines stop.
Turning the fuel pumps on most likely doesn’t help in the shut down process.
Additionally there’s a bug in the fuel system which means you can’t restart the APU to restart the engines.

The only way to avoid this problem is to start the 787 from cold and dark.

Unfortunately I have no idea why this problem happens to you or which files are responsible for this odd behavior.
Maybe this is a known problem and there is a solution if you search the forum.

So the fix is just to start it from cold and dark. Ok, thanks! I will look around for some more solutions.
