Bad anti alasing with TAA

I got into msfs 2020 not that long ago, i have a good high end pc and i ran settings on ultra. I loaded in and noticed the horrible alasing, i have TAA on and its giving me shimmeries and jaggs, i tried the user config file, didnt have much luck. My resolution is 5120x 1440, when i look at my plane fron external cam its all jagged, same for wing views. any advice on how to fix the jags?

You could try using the AA settings in NVCP global but you should also try DLSS+DLAA.

… or @Bluetoes10 simple use the forums search function with the resp. keywords

PS: @Bluetoes10 asking for an adivce ( green category ) is usually a different thing, than a bug ( yellow category ). Therefore exist also a bug report template.

I have tried DLSS +DLAA and all other options but unfortunately its even worse.

All my experience is with 16:9 so there’s not much more I can suggest except maybe Nvidia forums, reddit etc. Search for ultrawide solutions or similar.

may be you did something wrong then

But yes… I mentioned for a while in a topic the same: these 5120x 1440 ( more exact the 1440 ) is just not good and I prever monitors with yy x 1600. This is at least more in high than WQHD and so much better resolution. I assume thats what @DensestSnail693 meant too.

MSFS has in meanwhile, and in special with DLAA , a very good AA. If I jump into XPlane12 , or others, I allways thing in the first moment " omg, horrible ".

So there is nothing i can do to fix it besides getting a better monitor? If so what monitor do you use? And what would be a good resolution for ultrawide monitors to give me the best anti alasing? Or what monitors are the best for anti alasing. Also when its like dawn and sunsetting the sunlight when it hits the wings become jaggy in light? I will send screenshots at like 5

I assume your monitor is not bad. I just prever a higher resolution in point of the “height”, because higher resolution means the chance to see AA is lower. But dont forget, AA exist for all resolutions ( also 4K ) .

We not see what you see and what your expectations are, and so its hard to say whether “its normal” what you see or whether its about “a setting” , etc.

At least in my case with 3840x1600 ( so not soooo wide as yours ) and usage of DLSS->DLAA (superresolution) is AA no longer a topic. But DLAA needs very performant hardware.

So i have seemed to fix most of the problem, now im left with 2. You know on the wing it shows black lines

You see the black line around the wing, that is where i be getting alasing and at dawn the wing itself like spoilers have white alasing

and what you have done ? That may be interessting for other users

In the picture I’am not sure what you mean. With TAA will never all AA artifacts go away.
The “white AA”… may be you mean what others describe as shimmering in rare situations ( e.g. in backlight and darker background ). There are some topics about, but also that may not completly go away. As mentioned DLSS+DLAA can help, but thats like the most demanding mode for your gpu you can select.

Man i screwed with it again, what are your nvidia cp settings and what is ur secondary scaling set too?

I have’nt set any specific settings outside of MSFS itself ( Nvidia Control Panel ) , beside of a global max-fps. In-Game I use 100% renderscale and DLSS+DLAA with 110 Fidelity.
