Baron 55 to be released by Carenado

Personally going to wait for the Baron 58 Professional from Black Square but I know that many like Carenado products and I haven’t seen this mentioned here yet. Not much info other than a single screenshot from their Facebook page. I believe this is only the second Baron 55 I’ve ever seen for a flight sim.

Presumably this will launch before BlackSqaure update the 58 for 2024. In which case I’ll take it. The last few Carenado releases have been pretty good so I’ll be happy to have this for £20 or so.

Nice! I’’ll be happy to have both Barons when the time comes. Different models for different missions.

What a beautiful machine! I really like Carenado’s recent releases like the F33A and Piper Dakota, they are great! Wishing them the best of luck with B55!

It’s fascinating how many aircraft produced over 60 years ago still look strikingly beautiful. Unlike the cars of that era - often styled for visual flair - aviation design was driven primarily by function and aerodynamics. And when form follows function, it often results in timeless beauty that never feels outdated. The Beechcraft Baron is one such aircraft - its design feels eternal.

I used to fly the Baby Baron for a living, so I’m looking forward to this one since it’s unlikely that Blackbeard will ever get their act together on theirs, and in any case their FSX/P3D had a weird attitude in landing config. So good on you Carenado!
