Behringer X-Touch mini works flawless

Anyone using the scripts ffom Fliight.to for the Fenix A320? The push on the Baro rotators works for me but not for the rotators that require long and short clicks!

Hi, the free open source new MobiFlight V10 was just released with full MIDI support.

Also contains a ready to use configuration for the X-Touch Mini. Here some infos:
Midi Boards · MobiFlight/MobiFlight-Connector Wiki (github.com)

Works really well!

Please, help me decide.
I just ordered X-touch mini but still not sure which way to go : Axis and Ohs (payware - I know) , or maybe X-touch mini fs2020.
I would like to control Cessna Longitude first of all.
Thanks

Go spad.next.

I use Axis and Ohs - mainly because I also run a couple stream decks in addition to the X-Touch.

It depends on how much time you want to spend “programming” on your own with a free tool like X-touch mini fs2020 (basically, looking for the event you need) or do you prefer something more streamline (and with better support) like Axis and ohs or spadnext.

In my case, until now I’ve been able to create profiles for all my planes only using x-touch mini fs2020. But I have to recognize that is time consuming and sometimes a little bit frustrating. But, when you find the solution, very rewarding (and cheap). And it works great.

Next weekend I want to investigate how create a new profile for the new SR22, although I not sure if the new events have been implemented into the mobiFlight events list.

My 2cents.

Regards.

Thanks for the answers. I wonder if all the planes for MSFS2020 can be controlled by X-touch or there are some exceptions? How about PMDG B737-700?

Especially planes like the PMDG or Fenix can be controlled with the xtouch

I use spad.next with my x-touch mini.
Once you have the rotary encoders it really is hard to imagine going back. If ind it so satisfying to dial things.

Exactly. I’ve got 2 of these, have programmed them with spad.next and can’t live (well OK, fly) without them. At some point I’ll grab a third one. It offers ridiculously good functionality at a ridiculously low price, all things considered. And getting to program them is really super easy once you’ve understood what you’re supposed to do (spad.next supports X-touch out of the box as a standard MIDI device, so you can do pretty much everything via GUI, unless you want to create more elaborate scripts).

The only downside I can think of is that X-touch’s don’t have unique hardware IDs, so apps cannot distinguish them between one another if you use more than one and you move them around. Once you’ve plugged them in, it’s wise to never swap the USB ports.

The only thing I wish was different would be to have small display labels next to each knob/button, so that we could label them dynamically. But that would double or triple the price. Right now all you can do is perhaps cut custom templates with labels or use magnetic stripes and stick magnetic labels to them. Both are such a pain if you’re flying several different aircraft but I can live with it.

Eventually I end up setting up buttons using the same patterns for all aircraft regardless of type (e.g. rightmost knob is always ALT selector on my left X-Touch for all aircraft, the knob to its left is always HDG and so on). Obviously reduces cockpit fidelity but makes things easier to remember without having to create custom label plates for everything.

Also worth noting that if you have a Honeycomb Alpha, the grip pads at the bottom of the Xtouch mean you can just put it on top of the yoke and it will stay put even when you use the rotary knobs. No need for any hardware fixings. Loving it.

Hi,
in the past I used x-touch mini f2020 for some time, now I would use MobiFlight.
Cheers.

Sorry how do you mean?

I bought a tablet stand to angle my mini. Curious how you place it

So I configured X-touch with AAO and I am enjoying it a lot. Following one of the tutorials I managed to set up AP and lights for FBW A320. Now’s the time for PMDG B737

Literally like I said
just plonked on top. Don’t really feel the need to angle it as the yoke is down at just above belly button height

Hi, I am trying to control AS3000 map zoom/range in Cessna Longitude, but can’t find any script for the plane (received event AS3000_TSC_2_Joystick_Range_zoom). It only goes INC not DEC.
Thanks
PS.Solved by importing some scripts.

Do you know where I can find examples of how to work directly with mobyflight and x-touch?

Hi, the last thing I can’t get working in Longitude is Autopilot_Altitude_Fine_Tune to change 100/1000 inc/dec. Please help anybody.

Ditto

Hi,
I’m not sure what you are exactly asking for. x-touch does work out of the box with mobiflight v10. For example just create a new input config entry, edit, select the desired button and select the desired msfs2020 input from thousands of presets. I usually just use the search field, but you can also filter by plane.

Beside that there is a youtube channel also with beginners tutorial and the mobiflight discord with a very helpful community. Hope that helps.
