Which aircraft are you reporting an issue about? (Please also add the proper tag for it)

Bell47 J Ranger Local Legend

Which aircraft version are you experiencing this issue on? (You can find this listed in the Content Manager under the Aircraft Name)

the latest update that was delivered on 7 March

Brief description of the issue:

clicking on the throttle with the mouse no longer adjusts the throttle, neither the y or x axis works and nor does the scroll wheel. If you start the heli using CTRL E throttle shows at 26% but then drops to 1% or 0% if you click the throttle and use the scroll wheel. I could only gain throttle control by assigning buttons to heli throttle 1 up and heli throttle 1 down.

Provide Screenshot(s)/video(s) of the issue encountered:

no screenshot

Detailed steps to reproduce the issue encountered:

use the mouse to operate the throttle on series X

PC specs and/or peripheral set up if relevant:

No. Cannot reproduce on ms-store version (I am under the SU15B)

Provide extra information to complete the original description of the issue:

Clicking on the throttle with the mouse works as expected, as well as my joystick throttle axis
Starting C&D, using CTRL E, throttle stabilizes at 15%
Do you have the 1.04 version installed ?
Any binding conflict ?

If relevant, provide additional screenshots/video:

Power is stabilized at 15%:

I have the latest MP update version installed, no conflicts that I can find but my hotas doesn’t have a spare axis for the throttle so I cannot assign one for that. I didn’t have this issue prior to the update and the update mentions a few things with the throttle and mouse so I think for a scenario that there isn’t a free axis to assign to the throttle axis in the controller setup there is a problem.

I have resolved by assigning two spare buttons to heli throttle 1 increase / decrease and can now adjust the throttle but the mouse control doesn’t function anymore

To what is mapped your throttle axis on your Hotas if not to the throttle ?

Collective

Which works for every heli in the sim :+1:t3:

Ok, I am not an heli specialist :frowning:, so hopefully others can try to reproduce your issue using same configuration.

I more or less fly helicopters exclusively, and prior to the update that included a load of stuff about changing the throttle, this helicopter was fine with the mouse being able to get the throttle to max with no issue and now, it doesn’t anymore. I have implement a workaround with some additional buttons to increase the throttle but we really need the mouse control back to increase The throttle.

Could you setup the assisted tail rotor to “ON” and start with CTRL E ?
On my system, if ON then the throttle stabilized at 15% and if OFF then it stays at 7%. I don’t see the link between that assist and the throttle but just wondering if you’ll see a change. It is like your throttle was set to full.
(Does not resolve your issue with the throttle & mouse).

I don’t run any of the assists with helicopters, never have I can fly them better without them TBH.

When I do cntrl E to auto start, and I click on the throttle the tip says the throttle is at 26% it’s just if you then try to use the mouse scroll wheel or (as the tool tip suggests, the Y axis) the throttle drops to 1% then only toggles between 1% and 0% but the gauges in the helicopter so no difference in the rpm. I have assigned two spare buttons to heli throttle 1 increase and decrease and then the throttle will increase and decrease using the buttons. The thing that is broken is the mouse control part, and as the change log notes are full of changes to the throttle with the words mouse included, I figure the update has broken something

This is a video of the issue, cold and dark start using mouse to adjust throttle.

Cannot access the video, having a message “This content is private”.
The point to test with the assisted tail rotor ON (I understand you don’t use it) was just to determine if there is maybe an additional issue that needs to be reported separately to your.

I’ll try and find a way to post the video so it’s viewable

Do you have the same issue if you follow the OP’s steps to reproduce it?

yes

Provide extra information to complete the original description of the issue:

I’m having the same issue. I can’t manipulate the throttle with the mouse anymore. Before the update it worked just fine. I’m using the legacy control mode.

As you are now able to replicate and other users have reported the same issue, will this be upgraded to bug logged? Just wondering if it is being looked at.

Thanks for re-testing. @DementedCorn327

Bump, is this issue going to be upgraded to bug logged or at least feedback noted now even a forum moderator can replicate it as well as other users?

Hi @ALANajH, I’ll try to escalate it  .

Any luck with this as it’s still not logged as a bug?

Thanks for the reminder . Not yet but I am following-up…
