Best/Fastest way to set trim?

Actual pilot here with severe trim issues with this game. It appears that when loading into a scenario in flight, trim and speed is all set but as soon as I touch my joystick then all the settings currently on my joystick override the current input values and the plane veers widly out of control and it’s a mad dash to recover stable flight.

I’ve tried to leave the trim assistance feature on, but that system either isn’t compatible with my input controls or it’s just very badly programmed. Currently I’ve disabled all trim assistance (I think, there’s some nasty nesting of commands in here). It’s taking far too long to get the aircraft stable, is there a trick or tip someone can offer to help get stable trim in short order?

I’m currently attempting the ILS tutorials and those are some nit-picky tutorials allowing only a very short time for inputs.

I have two buttons on my T16000 assigned in aircraft specific profile.
With repeated on and changed value from 0.00 to 0.20 on the programmed buttons

So after assigning to a button press the cogwheel at the end of the line and fill in the rest
After you assign press go back to save in the profille.

Sometimes when start a flight you need to reselect the profile to load the proper one.

NB. If you need the trim to take bigger steps increase number to 0.30 or 0.35 instead of 0.20

I also have a T16000 with two buttons assigned. Digging into the hardware settings I can see the Repeat and Value options you speak of, but I seem to be incapable of changing any of those values. What’s the trick that will allow me to edit the Control Options?

I’m losing you at your cogwheel comments, I don’t understand what you’re talking about there at all.

The cogwheel is speak of is the one to the right at the end where you assign a keystroke or button push.
So say trimwheel nose up next to it you see two empty boxes which are primary and secondary box after these boxes there is the cogwheel, press it to access and here you can configure how the buton should respond to the press of the button when you press it.

Okay, understood. I was doing that, just didn’t understand the term with the icon there.
Repeat is checked (and grayed) and value is set to 0, but I can’t change anything; they’re all grayed out except for the Delete Assigned Control.

Sorry for late respons, for I was working but i will check.
But i have to admit my mistake

I have elevator trim up (nose up) and elevator trim down ( nose down) set to the pov up and pov down to the trim wheel function with (cogwheel) input repetition on
But this can also be programmed for buttons (checked this) the same way as for
the pov (aka hatswitch)

( The things i mixed up was setting for my brakes here you can define the strenght for braking
With the 0.20 i mentioned in the earlier post
I have this assigned to button one )

Sorry for the confuse in the post but this should work

Regards
