Best pay ware aircraft for under 20-25 dollars

Hello Aviation nerds

As a fellow nerd,I need to ask a question

What pay ware aircraft are good for a budget of 20-25 dollars

I normally fly

Cessna 152
Cessna 208

Daher TMB 930
And the diamond series

What would fit? I was looking at the A321 neo or some like prop planes…the local legends seem interesting…

See ya,

Sincerely

The Milviz Cessna310R is 24.99USD and a fantastic plane.

The A321 looks subpar in my opinion, It’s okay if you’re on XBOX and don’t really have any other options but if you’re on PC, I’d be looking elsewhere.

For Airliners you have the FBW A320 which is free, the Fenix A320 and the PMDG737-700 All are more than $25 but you get what you pay for.

There’s also the CRJs

Any other good Ones in my budget

It depends on what you like. Best for me may be something others don’t like at all. Personally, one of the planes I fly the most is //42’s Fox2. I think it was like $18. It’s thoroughly enjoyable if you like STOL bush planes. I can’t get enough of it. I’m also a fan of DC Designs PT-17 Stearman. Maybe $15 if I remember right. It comes with some great liveries as well as an aerobatic version. Lots of fun and sounds amazing. One aircraft I was surprised I like as much as I do is the T-6 Texan. I personally bought “Undecided”. It’s just a fun plane to fly and oddly satisfying to land. $10.

The Caproni-Vizzola C-22J Ventura on SimMarket is $9, and truthfully, that is a pretty fun plane.

I think you might want to take a look at the Boeing 247 by Wing42, since you’re into propeller aircraft. I’m also considering it given the reviews.

The black box b2 Islander would be up your alley because is a fun little twin engine propeller aircraft very good for exploring the smaller airports

I think the Staggerwing is quite cool as you have to deal with some special “features”:

  • landing is quite hard as it tends to bounce due to large wheels with big suspensions
  • fuel management is manual, you have to be careful on monitoring fuel as there is no gauge showing how much is left in which tank. You have to switch tanks in time.
  • it’s beautiful modded with nice textures and good sounds
  • the big radial engine dies if the engine still is cold, you have to run it warm for a minute on some higher throttle settings after start to avoid this to happen
  • it has custom engine smoke and other nice details
  • 15 bucks

Both the Islander and Trislander are great imo, and right in your wheelhouse for price I believe.

I will likely only keep in my hangar the Beechcraft and the Staggerwing.

The Fokker F.VII comes in at a whopping 8.59 GB. The Junkers JU-52 comes in at 4.51 GB. They are the two largest plane addons I have in terms of disk space, and neither of them are panes that I say to myself “I think for this flight I will pick this plane”.

The Dornier Do and Savoia-Marchetti S.55 you need water for. There aren’t a lot of seaplane runways across the sim. I have a bunch loaded around Seattle, Vancouver, and Alaska, but I tend to fly the Goose or the Twin Otter around there for fun. Again, these two aircraft, they aren’t planes I pick for a fun flight.

Don’t get me wrong. I bought all of them. I flew them a bit at first. I haven’t done the bush trips associated with them yet. But once I do, then I will probably remove them from my hangar. The original poster is looking for another “go to” aircraft though, and while these planes are within the budget he is looking for, I’m not sure they will be that “go to” plane he is looking for.

Gotta say, at that price point, most of the best planes are just not available.

The Sting S4 is a fantastic value for the price.

The 247D could use a patch, but is good for some fun, and has impressive realism.

The HJet might be something of interest to you.

The C-22 J is a steal at its price.

But compared to planes costing only slightly more? I’d save up an extra $5-10 if at all possible.

Do not have the c-22 J, but the Sting S4 and the 247D are both a huge step up in quality for this lower price point.

Hard NOT to get your money’s worth out of that one.

I love GA planes but this little jet is just a ton of fun. A lot of smiles per dollar before she went back in the hangar only to be taken out very occasionally these days.

That’s also a good one  and as you said it there is also the freeware RV-7/7A

The Carenado Senecy V is top.

I was talking about AIRCRAFT, not scenery…scenery seems like a waste of cash

It said scenery and I was like “what??”
