I am using the twist in the TCA Airbus side stick as rudder, However often I find the rudder is way oversensitive and twitchy. For who were able to set good sensitivity settings for TCA Airbus stick, can you please share it here in order for me to reduce my sensitivity settings as well?
-33% for all axes. Using different sensitivities on different axis feels strange to me.
2% deadzone to avoid any joystick interference with the MSFS AP etc.
320 Sim Pilot (being a REAL Pilot) confirmed to me recently that even with his -65 sensitivity settings he finds the sensitivity a bit too much. Personally I use -75 however even at that setting I find the sensitivity a bit too aggressive. I also use the Thrustmaster Rudder pedals and the same issue there. In the end, I think is something inherent in MSFS and I’ve not found a simple way to change it.
This is one of those personal things that only you can nail down. There is no “realistic” setting. I found that it REALLY depends on your stick. I have an old optical hi-res Sidewinder. I love it. No deadzone req but I set it to 2% cause I am not hi-res. I have sensitivity set at 0.
I have been using it for years with FS and have learned to simply use pressure and I can keep a taildragger running straight down the centerline. I recently tried one of the new Logitech Hotas sticks. Hated it. Even had trouble holding a 747 on the line with a light breeze. I didn’t understand all these posts about oversensitive rudder until then. I just pray my old Sidewinder outlasts me.
