I think it’s a question of ‘watch this space’ and maybe evaluate it by watching a few Youtube streams before buying it. I’m sure there will be quite a few.
I think at this stage though the dev has been as transparent and honest as he can be to limit high expectations.

I know that $30 is a lot of money for some who maybe live in lower wage economies and the same for young simmers who rely on the bank of Mum and Dad.
But fortunately for the majority it is not a huge amount. I think that a sufficiently large amount of simmers will buy very early on (myself included) and will soon offer vast amounts of feedback for everyone to decide if it’s for them or not.
ANCRM114 I was totally unaware of this World Hub until you mentioned it and I googled it. It certainly looks like it could be the answer to airport data discrepancies when it becomes available. I’m sure it won’t take the community long to correct things. It may however take microsoft a “little” longer to review and update the data though.

I don’t know to be honest if I will be buying it. Maybe but not too sure yet tbh. It’s not the money really but more that I have P2Atc which ‘kind of’ works anyway.
I do think that it is a very ambitious and next gen. project though and I really do hope that it succeeds. I personally think it will be in early access/beta for quite some time so I think a few of us might have to decide whether we are prepared to be support the dev in this for the long haul or not.
Only costing $30 is definitely in its favour though as Sellie has already posted above and the dev does appear to be very active and transparent with the community.
They will need to add to the world hub capabilities. Currently the version in beta doesn’t allow for fixing things like incorrect runway headings or nav data issues.
Following on from Gigna2020 post, if you don’t get a Navigraph subscription it is likely that the otherwise free Simbrief data will not coincide with MSFS2020. However I don’t believe there are many changes in new Airacs, mostly it’s refining data, so incidences of BATC not being able to deal with requests etc involving Airac data should be very small.
I am very interested to purchase Beyond ATC
I am currently facing some health problem with my voice which prohibit me from talking. I need to know if I can interact with the App as text input or by selecting a pre-defined reply option as a reply to the App voice messages ?
You have the option to let the application automatically reply.

For 30 bucks I’ll be buying it as soon as I can no matter what. I’m totally over having to use the shockingly bad built in ATC. Just finished another flight where it bounced me between frequencies during cruise, missed my TOD, told me to climb to FL360 expect FL260 when I was already at FL340, told me to climb to 16,000ft while I was turning to final approach at 5,000ft, and told me to turn right when I needed to turn left to intercept ILS. This is not unusual, it does stupid stuff on nearly every flight. At least it doesn’t ghost me any more since SU15 beta, but frankly my imagination isn’t wild enough to even conceive that BATC could be any worse.

If you cannot speak to it you have the choice of using buttons to select a transmission or you can let “your copilot” handle all calls, as you currently can within the sim.
Just a note, though. It’s not yet released although expected “soon”. Plenty of info on the Beyond ATC website or their Discord channel.

More or less, if you have an active NAVIGRAPH account linked to the SIMBRIEF account, in addition to planning flights with the updated AIRACs you also have the possibility, using NAVIGRAPH HUB, to update the AIRACs of the SIM and also of the Fenix (if you have it) therefore the flight plan will be updated but if the airport has, for example the wrong runways, BATC will propose an incompatible Approach and it will not be BATC’s fault.
However, it should be remembered that the SIM’s AIRACs are periodically updated by Asobo/MS, therefore the risk of finding problems with the airport where you want to land will always exist whether you use BATC, or FSHUD or another software dedicated to this purpose, with or without a Navigraph account, IMO.

It’s looking quite neat altogether.

BEYOND ATC LET’S GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!
I had just started a VATSIM flight from KDCA to KBOS, was climbing, saw BATC was available, immediately stopped my flight, downloaded, and now I’m flying the same route on BATC. So far so good, only minor taxi instruction bugs at DCA.

Very transparent. Hopefully we’ll be able to fix things through the World Hub.
I already have some critique, too…

Screw it, after careful consideration (literally 10 minutes) I’ve boarded the hype train and I’m buying today. I know I said I’d wait until traffic was available but this dev deserves the support. I just hope old habits don’t die hard after basically ignoring default ATC for everything except clearance, taxi and take off since MSFS launched.
Good times ahead I feel.

I’d also like to thank the Captain for releasing on a UK bank holiday weekend.
