I am a radial junkie and the startup sequence and sounds are one of my biggest priorities. I will say I am very happy with this Norseman. The startup is not auto by any measure and you have to keep up on the wobble pump as well as prime. Additionally you have to energize the flywheel right and when it catches you get smoke and sputter.
Was it? I do not think I got any update from ORBX. Let me checkā¦
The DI has two needles. One is indicating heading and the other one was the one I was referring to. As per the manual it is supposed to point to the South but the code behing the needle is somehow mixing NAV1 radial and heading.
I will check again.
Now itās a traditional bearing pointer and desired course indicator. That part of the manual never made sense to me because in its first iteration it didnāt do that either.
Has anyone else tried to use the Norseman on FSEconomy? The FSE client recognizes it just fine, but the FSE schema for the Norsemanās fuel tanks is waaaay different than the BR layout (which I think is the correct one). FSE expects the plane to have two wing tanks of 128 gallons each. The MSFS configuration has the five-tank layout with the belly tanks carrying about half the total fuel capacity. That creates a big mismatch that makes it very difficult (but not impossible) to manage your fuel in a way that wonāt result in a āno fuel burnedā error/cancellation at the end of your flight.
I guess FSE would have to create a new MSFS model for the plane (as theyāve done with other MSFS payware aircraft) to fix this, but I donāt really know how to request that (or if theyād even consider it)⦠Iām still going to use the Norseman because it really canāt be beat for FSE use - itās possibly the most cost-efficient plane available in FSE. (And itās great to fly.)

While I wonāt download most of these liveries, Iād like to thank you for the wonderful work you do. Every release is a little gem and it brings so much color to those old vintage planes.
A lot of the warbird skins I have come from your dedicated work. They really preserve the lost art of these machines.
Thank you!
Thatās exactly why I like to paint aircraft from all over the world, so there is something for everyone to enjoy.
hereās a few more, including a wheeled Canadian:

Thank you! Iāve bought a few aircraft (including this one) based on wanting to fly with your excellent repaints.
Any news on a Paintkit for this one I missed?
