Binding with multiple inputs disables multiple throttles on same axis

ISSUE DESCRIPTION

Description of the issue: First off for the mods, if this bug is in the wrong area please feel free to move it. Not sure if it belongs in peripherals, but the issue does not seem to be unique to one peripheral type. I’m also running on the latest SU5 beta, but I didn’t have this hardware setup previously so cannot confirm whether it is a beta regression issue or not.

When multiple separate throttle axes (ie Throttle 1 Axis, Throttle 2 Axis) are bound to the same input axis, and then a button binding is activated that has two or more inputs (for example a modifier button), it disables all but one of the throttle axes from that input for the remainder of the flight.

For example, I am using a VKB STECS throttle with two throttle axes. I have the left bound to the 1st and 4th throttle axis, and the right to the 2nd and 3rd throttle axis, so I can easily use the profile across aircraft with multiple configurations. In the video below I have Toggle Parking Brake assigned to my normal braking input (left and right triggers), plus a modifier button. When I use this input, or any binding that involves more than one button, the input axis now only manipulates one of the throttle axes that it is assigned to. In the video the button input uses three buttons, but I have also tested it with two.

In the video I am using the C17 Globemaster, but I have tried with multiple different four engine aircraft in this configuration. While testing I also tried to assign all throttles separately to the one input axis; it has the same behaviour. The issue persists to two engine aircraft, if Throttle 1 Axis and Throttle 2 Axis are bound to the same input.

The reason I didn’t put this in peripherals is that I have tried with both other inputs I have available (VKB Gladiator NXT Evo, and TCA Airbus Sidestick), both of which have one throttle axis available, and the same issue persists.

FREQUENCY OF ISSUE

How often does this occur for you (Example: Just once, every time on sim load, intermittently)?

Each flight, and is only resolved by a restart of the flight.

REPRODUCTION STEPS

Please list clear steps you took in order to help our test team reproduce the same issue:

  1. Assign multiple separate throttle axes (Throttle 1, 2 etc) to the same input axis from a peripheral. Disable the master ‘Throttle Axis’ if this is bound.

  2. Bind two or more inputs to a function (ie parking brake). I’m fairly confident this has to be on the same input device.

  3. Start flight, check throttles are working as desired

  4. Activate the binding with multiple inputs. All but one throttle axes per input will not function.

MEDIA

In the video I show my control bindings (JOYSTICK LAXIS Y is left throttle bound to throttle 1 & 4, JOYSTICK LAXIS X is right throttle bound to 2 & 3) and show them working independently. Then when my parking brake input is made, the L throttle only activates throttle 1, and the R only works for throttle 2. I restart the flight and it works again. I then rebind all throttles 1 2 3 and 4 to the left axis and repeat. All throttles except for one (interestingly enough it is throttle 2) are disabled.

It would help also if they added more than 4 throttle bindings in the settings too.
