I heard that MS and Google have signed an agreement to collaborate on Maps

That doesnt sound as „the opposite“ for me at all. According to jorg, there is close contacts to bing maps to update the data constantly.

Well, this are external companies, MSFS and BING are MS products, they dont need to release a statement to say they work together 
I think you are misunderstanding things… google is MS/BINGs big „enemy“ when it comes to map applications.
And meh isnt citing any source and the article you posted says the exact opposite
I think there’s a misunderstanding from you of my initial premise that MS and Google were not collaborating, contrary to what Meh1951 thought. I cited a source to show that.
After I tried to explain this, you still misunderstood. If that’s my fault for not being clear, I apologise, but basically we are saying the same thing.

Just to sum up for others: MS (Bing) and Google (Maps) will not collaborate at all, quite the opposite.
