Black avionics screens after update

Great!
In my case, I was just facing problems with A320, so I did that on Asobo-vcockpits-instruments-a320-neo folder. It was about 347 KB downloading and voi la, started working my a320 panels! (not flyed yet).

Thank you a lot, man!

The Mooney is a dial only aircraft except it has a G520 that shuts off. And also the Radio stack and Autopilot shut off. Oh, and the mix and feather are also auto adjusting… I am turning ground traffic off and going flying - good job finding the solution!

I’m on the same boat. Since three or four days I can’t fly with the Baron. Suddenly, in the middle of a flight, all the screens goes blank and i can’t turn them on again. I’ve to try with traffic and multiplayer off cause generic render on didn’t works.

I’ve to try to delete the Baron folder too. Haven’t tried yet (only cancelled the general intrument one). BTW this is one of the fix that has to be done. Cause it is nearly unflyable.

How are you detecting that? I can clearly adjust my mixture, and watch the EGT change. Also adjusting the prop RPM works, and I’ve not seen these move by themselves.

Well, in the cockpit, the feather and mix knobs go from where I have set them to full on - Yes, they actually move. This has happened in several planes. Oh, and turning ground traffic off did not fix the problem completely - it reduced it drastically, but its still happening from time to time. I, however, have not had random lights switched on and off like others - I just am having the G1000 and avionics stacks shutting off and the RPM and MIX knobs moving on their own. Hope that makes it clear.

Try turning off multiplayer and live/AI traffic as well, or setting all aircraft rendering to generic

Will do - lol - I may just turn the entire game off at this point and go back to X-plane till they get this mess sorted out

Absolutely. Workarounds are temporary and I hope Asobo prioritizes fixing this bug which was introduced by their first patch.

They do have it listed correctly (finally) on the known issues with the workaround, so they are very much aware of it. They might not be aware of the scale of the problem though.

This did seem to work for me and helped AI figure how to behave.

I thought this issue was addressed in the last update, looks like it still exists. When switching views, the main cockpit display on the A320 will go black and not come back on for the remainder of the flight.

hi,

try to turn the little knobs just left of the PFD screen, try to turn the brightness on again, see if that works..
I had the same issue a few days ago, and my brightness was set to off but the PFD was working..

Wow, thats exactly it. Thank you for that! not sure what is causing it to reduce the brightness completely.

Set AI Generic traffic To ON also,
Many simmers have this issue, it’s a known bug.

A bug that may be squashed on the 13th, if the October 8th dev update is accurate:

I have been having this issue in most aircraft, I have re installed 4 times and last night i noticed on the Cessna 172 G1000 MFD the ALERTS BUTTON changed to a flashing yellow CAUTION light followed by a small message on the screen saying STBY BATT followed by both MFD and GPS panels shutting down. I tried switching on and off the master and avionics switches but nothing happened until i switched the Start switch from start to both magnetos and WOW the MFD started to initialise and come to life and I manually switched on the Garmin flew around fo half an hour and it is still working .I will try out my other aircraft later. Hope this helps

Well at least I’m not the only one. Have had this happen many times on the C172 (G530) over the past few weeks. Taking my first flight in the 787 now and halfway through cruise the MCP is blank.

Guess we’ll see if the patch on the 13th fixes it.

After reading your post, I noticed the same thing. In a real plane the starter returns to both when you let go of it. I use a Saitek switch panel, and even when I switch it to both, after starting, it remains on start. Good catch on this one. Did you report it to Zendesk?

I guess similar issue is discussed within e.g. Large heading bug increments when using Honeycomb yoke - #32 by MichaMMA

All of a sudden all avionic screens are blank on jets, cessnas and A320neo. Planes load and engines are running but all the glass cockpit screens are blank. Any ideas. I am stumped. Is there any way to reset all options to default. This is on PC. I have high spec machine and graphics card
