They’ve been with the sim for years. Plenty of mentions from other of this.

Because you didn’t fly in areas where black lines are visible. I saw them many times when playing FS2020 but not everywhere, some areas are worse than others. They also appear on the ground but are usually masked by trees and vegetation. You need to fly a helicopter low and slow to see them.

Since Su16 the black lines in MSFS2020-water got even worse. Much worse! The magic of FS2020 is gone …

Yep can confirm these black lines are everywhere in SU3 2024. Didn’t realize this was a bug from way back, so looks like they are here to stay

I noticed TAA reduces them a bit (obviously will lose some framerate compared to DLSS) but the black lines are way more noticeable with DLSS than TAA for me. Flying from LPPT to BIKF yesterday I noticed black lines in the water.

Adding some wind on the ground can help hide them as well. Especially over water.
