And some of us have been encountering it for years and dont have any reason to share your optimism. But have no other recourse than to wait and see.
Which makes it even more annoying.

I’ve never noticed it before but since SU4 in 2024 it’s awful. These lines are everywhere.
this is because the earth is flat and msfs is trying to wrap it around a globe causing cracks in the matrix…
btw this is a joke no way am i a flat earther.. just want to clear that up. but bigfoot is real ![]()
(EDIT) maybe that is the problem the panels they are useing are flat and not allowing for the curvature of the earth.
I did not have these lines before, but now they are pretty much always present. Even at low altitude and low anlges looking at the water.
This must be something introduced lately.
BTW, the black lines I get are with photogrammetry off.
A year go if you are talking about FS2024 and 5 years ago in MSFS. You just didn’t notice them before for some reason. Maybe you usually fly over land or at night…
I flew a T-6 up the Delaware river when the week the game launched and Lines were all over the place.
I don’t think they have any intentions of fixing it soon.
It’s like the jagged night time edges that the AMD GPU crowd is wrestling with.
Been here for a while.
At least that one can be fixed by changing hardware, this not so much..
I have seen these, too. Very annoying.
I often fly close to the coast or over sea water, because one of the things I often do is Helo transportation on oil rigs. Just recently I came back to FS24 after a few month hiatus. I would have noticed these lines back then, since I’m very picky when it comes to immersion breaking graphics glitches.
Just a comment but with the latest NVIDIA driver the lines seem fewer to me. I am often doing an approach to SFO over water. Running a 5080. Anyway seems to have calmed down for me.
Yes, no black lines anymore…![]()
I just downloaded the beta and did a test, and unfortunately the black lines are still there.
This is an example of how totally out of their depth the developers are.
Do they just write that they’ve fixed it and not bother testing?
Surely if a user can report straight away there are still the black lines it should never have been described as being fixed.
Near my home airport just outside of Montreal.? Whatever “ Fixed breaks in TIN water tile…” they are referring to, do not apply here.
What I see is two comments above your post. One says it’s fixed and the second says it’s not. You chose to pounce only on the second one with a litany on the state of Asobo’s software development process.
I am just curious about the differences between these two simmers’ settings or anything. For me it’s proof that sim development is very complex. And I also assume that the testers probably had the experience of the first poster, and not the second.
Agree?

+1. Hopefully this time Asobo can finally take a crack at this now long standing issue (since su3 in 2024 it has been a thing)
One of them didn’t do a proper testing. Started the game, checked one random location where black lines are not visible and claims it’s been fixed.
