I flew around the Hawaiian islands a few hours ago and the lines in the water that had been there a few days earlier were gone for me. I will check other areas later today.
Big question is to what extent, given how both are worded.
These are my observations after SU5. The black lines in water are very prominent in the Nice Landing challenge. They occur both in front of runway 22R and off to the left of approximately halfway down the runway while descending. The play of the sun across the G1000 displays is still very bright compared to MSFS 2020. The noise of the landing gear being lowered does not quit after the gear show down and locked. The windshield effects are still too strong. And the landings still do not show the score for vertical touchdown speed, runway drift about centerline, or distance from the touchdown point. (Very disappointing).
Paris is a wreck. Someone stole the Tour Eiffel, the Trocadero, the Louvre, the Grand Palais and they added many tall buildings downstream of where the Eiffel Tower is supposed to be. But Montparnasse is still there. Quelle horreur! Sacre bleu!
Also tried to reassign buttons 46 and 47 on my Honeycomb bravo to set and release the parking brake, respectively, and had a very difficult time doing so. Not sure if it was me or the sim but somehow it finally worked.
Also the OpenXR toolkit had some pretty messed up settings after installing SU5. Got it straightened up okay though.
Also, was wearing my HP Reverb G2 headset when observing all of the above.
Has anybody found a way (time of day/weather conditions/location etc) of removing or minimising the black grid lines across the water. Thanks.
Very disappointed to see this wasn’t actually fixed in SU5. I saw them immediately during my very first post-SU5 flight.
