Thanks. I will take a look at your reference. I did do a search (that’s how I found the link that I posted in my OP), but most of what I see is people reporting that they have the same problem but no real solutions.
I don’t have any add-ons other than a couple of official marketplace airports and the Aerosoft Twin Otter (I know, sympathies…). I certainly don’t have any Google Maps add-on and I tried renaming my “community” folder just to be sure. I do have Spad.next but I have tried it with and without Spad.next running and it doesn’t make a difference.
My game still loads. It just looks wonky while it is doing so. The issue started when I upgraded to the latest World Update. I’ve been playing for over a year before that and never once experience anything like it. Certainly seems to me like something that was introduced in the latest update.
It works now ?.. if not, did you also tried to cleanup of rolling.cache file, etc. ?
I think for ms-store users it within this folder ( I own steam, where it is different location ) : C:\Users\User_name\AppData\Local\Packages\Microsoft.WindowsStore_8wekyb3d8bbwe\LocalCache
Some scenery caches can cleaned as well.
Yes, it always worked (in so far as the game would load and I could play it). That was never the issue. The issue is that it looks like something’s wrong with it because it can’t be bothered to load the images on the landing screen while it’s loading.
okay.. in 99.9% of the cases, the users meant with that description, that the game will not start and loading ends with such a black screen. So, little misunderstanding from my side, my former links was also related to the issue that you can not play.
Then, not really an idea why you not see all images. May be somewhat is to slow, or a av-tool blocks somewhat, or what else… May be a disc scan “chkdsk”, or system scan (sfc /scannow) can helpfull.
