Black Square Analog Beechcraft Bonanza A36 / G36

to convert this livery

BONANZA G36 COSTUM LIVERY 8K » Microsoft Flight Simulator
only thing I had to do was

I replaced in the aircraft cfg in order to get the livery oriented for the bonanza TC version and not the Asobo G36 original

base_container = “…\Asobo_Bonanza_G36”

by

base_container = “…\bksq-aircraft-analogbonanzaturbo”

(if I want it for the TC with no tip tank from JayDee had to put “bksq-aircraft-analogbonanzaturbo-notank” instaed of)

if you have a model folder, you have to replace the interior with interior=AnalogBonanza.xml

then in texture.cfg G36a is the name of the texture folder in that case …
(having a texture folder name and livery a bit ambigus sorry, but it s the one I have been using for my first attempt
the mod’s folder is named as this : \bonanza-g36a\SimObjects\Airplanes\Asobo_Bonanza_g36a )

here the fallback I have been using

fallback.1=…..\bksq-aircraft-analogbonanza\texture
fallback.2=…..\Asobo_Bonanza_g36a\TEXTURE.g36a
fallback.3=…..\Asobo_Bonanza_G36\TEXTURE
fallback.4=…......\texture\DetailMap
fallback.5=…......\texture\Gauges
fallback.6=…......\texture\Glass
fallback.7=…......\texture\Lights
fallback.8=…......\texture\Planes_Generic
fallback.9=…......\texture
fallback.10=…\texture

only down side I have encountered, is the tip tank that remained white

remember doing so the livery will not be available for other variant, because I did not gave a new name and each livery must have an unique name or they will don’t show .

sorry I have not been able to add the noreg panel yet, once I do it the livery disappear so I m not able to explain clearly how it must be used

I got a service request started with Just Flight

did you set the noreg panel path as \..\..\bksq-aircraft-analogbonanza\panel.noreg ? it won’t work if you just leave it as “noreg” like it is in the example file

I tried to copy the folder and add “noreg” to the panel section of the aircraft.cfg but yeah look like the panel.cfg as mentionned above by JayDee isn’t correct, I had an old version somewhere or I saw that someone has posted a livery with a corrected one on flightsim.to, Black Square Analog A36 Bonanza Modern Blue & N62JR for Microsoft Flight Simulator | MSFS
on his file the Panel.xml contain the following lines

// Panel Configuration File
// Beechcraft Bonanza N62JR

[VARIATION]
override_base_container = 0

[VPainting01]
size_mm = 1024, 256
texture = $RegistrationNumber
location = exterior
painting00=Registration/Registration.html?font_color=transparent, 0, 0, 1024, 256

look like the argument transparent work, should be better using this one than “white” to avoid a blank block

update is out

v1.1 changelog

New Features:

  • Event ID bindings have been added for the ignition switch, alternator, and standby alternator. This should allow users to use their hardware without having to change event bindings. The following are examples of acceptable key events: MAGNETO_OFF, MAGNETO_LEFT, MAGNETO_RIGHT, MAGNETO_BOTH, MAGNETO_START, MAGNETO1_OFF, MAGNETO1_LEFT, MAGNETO1_RIGHT, MAGNETO1_BOTH, MAGNETO1_START, SET_STARTER1_HELD, SET_STARTER_ALL_HELD, TOGGLE_ALL_STARTERS, TOGGLE_STARTER1, MAGNETO_INCR, MAGNETO_DECR, MAGNETO1_INCR, MAGNETO1_DECR, TOGGLE_MASTER_ALTERNATOR, TOGGLE_MASTER_BATTERY_ALTERNATOR, TOGGLE_ALTERNATOR1, ALTERNATOR_OFF, ALTERNATOR_ON, TOGGLE_ALTERNATOR2.

  • Spark plug fouling will now affect temperatures in a much smoother fashion, which is more realistic, and also makes the condition harder to spot on the EDM-800.

  • Turbocharger overboost pressure relief valve sound. When you advance the throttle too rapidly with cool oil, the wastegate may not react quickly enough to prevent an overboost. If this occurs, a pressure relief poppet valve will open, emitting an audible hissing sound.

  • EGT now increases with poor combustion, such as from single magneto operation, or fouling spark plugs.

Bug Fixes:

  • Panel.noreg did not remove external registration after the preview build. Fixed.

  • European 8.33kHz mode on the KX-155 units will now display the “tune to” frequency, rather than the actual frequency. Tuning frequency spacing is 5kHz, which matches the underlying behavior of the WT GNS, otherwise the WT GNS will refuse to tune.

  • Spelling fix on strobe light warning in cabin, cabin

Hopefully, that’ll allow me to start it. Wouldn’t start using my Bravo or using the mouse so I just spent the last 1/2 hour checking for conflicts.
Also had a strange one when I switched to external view and it cut the engine!

Is this addon using WASM? It took nearly 20 minutes to load my very first flight which is very unusual. Not even the PMDG takes that long after an update. I now installed v1.1 and again, it took me 28 minutes to load into the flight.

Finally! Thanks. To make it easier for everyone else, you can download the transparent texture here: Bonanza_Texture.zip - Google Drive

The new version fixed the STBY ALT warning issue for me. thanks, Black Square!

Edit: Fixed the right mouse button killing the engine RPM, too.

In a busy IFR environment, the glass cockpit and its additional automation and information, can make one’s life a lot less stressful.

I’ll take all the help I can get :wink:

Just be thankful that it finally compiled and ran, without a CTD !!

Anyone having issue with autopilot Nav mode with the 530/430 selected? I put the autopilot in Nav and it will not track.

v1.1 fixed
rt-click my mouse the engine rpm drops if the animation of the key is off
Startup switch on my Honeycomb Alpha does not turn on the animation startup switch but it does startup the plane.
Seems more stable

Thanks BlackSquare

finally, i can live out my kitted-out 90’s honda civic street racer aspirations in an airplane. wait till the people picnicking at the park hear me go by. PSSSSSSSSSSSSSS.

ran in to the starter/mag switch issue last night and couldn’t figure out what was going on. Honeycomb alpha starter switch bound and everything, but it wasn’t turning the virtual on on the panel, so I just tried using the virtual one with the VR manipulator. Didn’t work. Only then realized that the starter was actually working from the honeycomb - just no animation :rofl:

Had a great set of flights on VATSIM with this aircraft. One thing that was odd… I have a button bound to toggle drone cam view… when I hit that button, for some reason it seemed to pull the firewall fuel cutoff valve (or I think it did…) Absolutely nothing else bound to that button on the controller. Anybody else have odd issues where they have a button bound, but then it causes things like this to happen? I was lucky enough to notice my aircraft leveling off in drone cam view… popped back inside and got it flying again without losing control. Strange…

Anyway, awesome mod!!

Fixed with 1.1

Yes, I had the same thing, but wasn’t sure what it triggered. This wasn’t bound to a honeycomb switch on mine but another controller. Had a flight after the update and it seemed to be ok now. Will try again tomorrow.

Firstly, congratulations Black Square on an outstanding mod! It is magical.

I was wondering if anyone can tell me which axis to bind cowl flaps on my Honeycomb Bravo?

Yes! Same. This happened after hitting the button on another controller bound to the toggle drone view action… Very strange. I’ll have to try it now after the update.

Again, awesome addition to the hangar! Especially at night. That panel lit up at night is a work of art!
