I noted this recently and was disappointed to discover it to be the case.
Iām sorry to hear that there are still issues, we will follow up with our Marketplace team on it as we know there should no longer be delays with ingestion, unless perhaps a special case issue.
Itās hardly a special case. Iāve seen reports from several devs, I dare say the majority, about delays to getting stuff onto the marketplace or updated more or less since the marketplace came into being and extending to the current day. FYI
PMDG, black Square, A2A, just flight own items to name a few of the bigger names, that are all saying the same thingsā¦
If I recall correctly, PMDGās complaint about the Marketplace in 2024 was because (as they admitted) they had not read an email from Microsoft detailing a specific naming convention requirement. When that was resolved, their aircraft were published. A2A also clarified that the Marketplace challenges they have had have been in the 2020 Marketplace, where 2020-native aircraft must be released first before transferring to 2024 users as updates - and Jorg was clear that the enhancements to Marketplace efficiency were specific to 2024 and not applicable to 2020.
That might be, I don“t know that. But in the case of the Blacksquare Aircraft (Dukes and Starship), the 2024-versions are avaiable in the Justflight Shop and other external shops for weeks and work properly. The 2020 versions are online in the 2020 marketplace.
What is missing are the 2024-versions, which are not avaiable in 2024 marketplace. And Blacksquare sent them to Microsoft for the 2024-marketplace weeks ago.
I can“t imagine the problem, if the planes are sold by 3rd-Party-developers in their own shops for fs2024 and in the fs2020-marketplace for fs2020. Both versions work well within the sim (2020 and 2024), so what can be so difficult to bring them to fs2024-marketplace?
Yep, that seems to be different case entirely than what PMDG and A2A have experienced, and Iāve got no idea what the issue could be. As others have said, aircraft using WASM do have additional certification to go through prior to release, so that could be part of it. Additionally, as Jorg mentioned, some developers wait until the Xbox product is fully ready before releasing it to the entire Marketplace, though Jorg explained this is not a requirement. Though it sounds like a common misconception among developers, they can release on PC Marketplace and Xbox Marketplace separately.
But, as usual on this subject, itās all speculation from our end.
For those still using MSFS2020, ( and maybe or maybe not 2024) is it better to stay with the older native 2020 Version, or update to the 2024 Version release, that also supports 2020, and āMayā be different / improved, when used with 2020, vs the original 2020 only release ?
canāt wait for msfs to hit ps5. that should really help alleviate confusion and speed things up dramatically. ![]()
People who fail to follow instructions will always be confused regardless.
In the Blacksquare/Justflight case, itĀ“s neither a lack of following instructions, nor waiting for X-Boxā¦.
There must therefore be problems with the admission process in the 2024-marketplace.
Itās a shame this thread has become overrun with messages about the submission procedure and issues surrounding other BS titles, rather taking away chat and attention from the top-notch titles that are due to land soon.
Just to say the we believe that the issues weāre experiencing are actually being looked at by the MS team. They are only quite small, but are blocking issues that up until this point weāve not been able to remedy and neither have the team at MS so they have been elevated to the support team over there. Weāve not as yet heard anything further on them since that point. Fingers crossed something weāll give soon and we can get underway once again.
Now back to the Baron and Bonanza gazing⦠![]()
Boy these look fantastic, I think in 2020 the originals of these were in my top 5 most flown aircraft.
Please forgive me, I know this is always an annoying question to deal with. Other than the discussion above on the Marketplace difficulties, I checked the JF forums, site, etc and didnāt see a mention if these were coming to Xbox users in 2024?
Interesting conversations in this thread, and in the end, as with so many of Black Squareās addons, thisāll be a day 1 full bundle purchase for me!
Yes they will be.
They look fantastic!
Iāve greatly enjoyed the Starship and Iāve wanted something smaller for my more traditional GA flying. These look like they will fit that nicely.
Finally, we are starting to see some 2024 aircraft worthy of our attention. Itās been quite the wait!
Just been watching twotonemurphyās stream with the Baron & Bonanza, they do indeed look really good. Going to have to choose one of those and the A2A Aerostar as my last 2 purchase of the year.
All the Barons Iāve seen have the throttle levers in the middle of the instrument panel except for the new ones with the G1000. Is this a rare type of Baron built just before the introduction of the G1000?
