Black Square Steam Gauge Overhaul - King Air 350i

Not for me

I don’t think the sound pack has anything to do with it at all. It’s basically just using the sound files from the community folder.

The sim can be strange and complex sometimes, you’ll never know what’s causing what when it comes to FPS.

But i know this aircraft has good performance. I’ve tested it everywhere. It’s “almost” on par with PMDG 737 which is still untouched in terms of performance in my opinion.

So I just bought this and it’s a lot to learn lol. However my TDS 750 isn’t powering on, it just stays black. Any ideas?

is the tds up to date ?

You need to bind the Master Aviconcs to one of your physical control switches and then make sure you use your mouse to turn the Master Avionics on in the Sim and also turn on the Switch you bound to your controller.

Does anyone notice the Master Volt switch springs back when testing the Battery Volts
Also, the windscreen wipers do not turn on.

from changelog

wiper work on my side (maybe reset L alternator )

For me its quite the opposite - it’s quite easy on the frames.

No performance issues here and I have a relatively old system

Actually that one is not the best example on how ITT should perform in a normal engine start, despite it is within acceptable parameters.

BTW, an interesting difference in the 300 (the model of the video) compared to the 350 that can be noticed in the video is GEN TIES are manually closed (check green message in annunciator) which is necessary for a battery engine start as the beacon light is powered by a generator bus. In the 350 that light is on the center bus therefore manual close is not needed (except at night time).

I am wondering why night time has an effect on this procedure?

To power the Instrument Lights (engine gauges) from the left generator bus.

Are u using a trim axis instead of trim up/down? I have a axis bound to my Turtle Beach VelocityOne Trim Wheel. If t is not properly aligned it does EXACTLY what you describe. How to fix? I just turn off AP, the retrim to the current attitude of flight, I.e. Level, climb 1000FPM, descend 500FPM. etc and then turn the AP back on and problem solved.

YMMV TANSTAAFL TIWAGOS

Can’t believe how awesome this aircraft is. I’m gonna say it: it’s my payware of the year (sorry Fenix). This really reminds me of flying the Majestic Q400 back in the day. Just purchased subscription for the gtn750 what yoke setups work well for this aircraft?

I wholeheartedly agree. Just did a couple of flights in the Fenix, but I was quick to get back in the KA cockpit. Now featuring stylish dark grey interior courtesy of @JayDee6281

Thank you!

Just curious: when I start a flight at daytime and don’t do it, then no instrument lights on my night arrival?

Hey, thanks for the aircraft. Great piece of work. But what is your normal cruising speed? What are your settings (rpm/mixture/throttle)? I’m only getting 210-220 kt IAS. I think I’m slow…

regarding the POH it depend a lot of altitud and temperature (will drop the link soon then edit this post)

on this graph think they are most of time using 100 manifold wich is very a hot,
on my side usually I m beetweren 220 240 knot ias with 70 % 1500 rpm Manifold

Providing you set MASTER PANEL LIGHTS switch to ON and moved PILOT & COPILOT FLIGHT INSTR potientiometers out of OFF position, you will have the lights ON at your arrival airport.

Hmm, I use a Honeycomb Bravo Throttle. My Trim Wheel works fine in every air plane, but I can disable the trim wheel for a test flight. I don’t know if the bravo throttle uses a trim axis or up/down for the wheel. I check that, thanks for the tip.
