Well. It was not an emergency but for some reason oxygen was released. I guess the plane was simulating passengers using oxygen masks. I don’t know why it happened. The red light CABIN ALT HI came up during climb around 12,000-13,000 and remained for the rest of the flight until I descended for landing.

In the next flight CABIN ALT HI light came up much later, above 30,000 and oxygen also started to flow but at much slower rate.

RL King Airs typically don’t go higher than FL280-290ish so the passengers don’t need to put on oxygen masks. The plane is certified to FL350 but unless it’s a crew-only ferry flight and the tailwinds are very favorable, you won’t go that high typically.

If the Cabin Altitude warning occurred at 12,000 ft it’s because you forgot to turn on the Bleed Air.

If it’s at 30,000+ that’s normal because the King Air cannot maintain a <10,000 fr cabin at those altitudes.

Could simply be the crew using it at cabin pressure altitudes above 12,500 (for more than 30 minutes). But my guess is it simulates all-or-nothing use beginning at 12 or 12.5k - full blast, all possible pax on it, regardless of actual sim loadout.

Are there any updates in the works?

Anyone else noticed a couple of things lately?

  1. Fuel system test not working - gauges indicate the same regardless of test.
  2. ‘Descent’ mode of the AP not working as advertised. Shouldn’t it try to descend for barber pole -20 kias initially? It doesn’t seem to pitch for that in my experience.

Descent seems to work ok if you treat it like a fixed speed hold… I tend to use VS because DSC can be pretty aggressive.

I can’t seem to get my flight director to stay on if I want to hand fly without AP but still want the FD guidance. If i follow the manual instructions and press the disconnect button on the yoke, it does a full disconnect of AP/yaw damper/ FD. I also cant arm any AP modes before pressing the AP engage button. is this normal? any ideas?

maybe your controller is sending the wrong variable … what kind of controller are you using ? do you use spad next ? are you using the “ap off” bind ? or master ap ? )
on my end never noticed any issue, using only a key on my joystick (set to “toggle ap”)

PS : just tried, and both behaviors (arm mode + FD) works fine

I’m sorry, I’m no expert on AP’s, but, isn’t it true if you make a change to the yoke, it automatically turns off all AP functions… A safety feature? To do otherwise could compromise your ability to control the plane in an emergency situation.

It depends on the aircraft, but most have a clutch which will disconnect the AP if you apply so many pounds of force to the yoke. Might be 10-15 lbs for some GA to upwards of 60-80 for larger aircraft. The point is that a small inadvertent bump shouldn’t disconnect the AP, but an intentional action should, again dependent on aircraft.

Of course, in the sim, a slight bump on a flight stick translates to infinite force…

Did anybody get the Avionics switch to work with SPAD.Next?

I did get the Condition Levers to work with the help of Anderson at Just Flight Support

I tried this … but there’s more to it.

Can’t get both engines started. Right engines starts normally, left engine doesn’t ever. Based on normal procedures. Deinstalled and reinstalled. No change. Do others have that problem too?
It’s like there is no fuel flow in the left engine.
